You shouldn't enjoy going to the dentist, but this one is different. Really friendly, bright and clean. Great dentist and and staff

Sat on my phone waiting for over 30 minutes but absolutely no answer. Yet whilst waiting I filled out an enquiry form and was rung back within minutes to try to get me to sign up as a private patient when I was looking to join up as a nhs patient. I find it frustrating that their sales time is clearly bigger than their reception team. I know no dentist want new nhs patients due to the lack of money to be made from this branch of medical care. Thank GOD doctors don’t take the same course of action
Today my partner visited the practice for a extraction after requiring emergency treatment a few weeks ago. The extraction experience was amazing and clearly explained by Laura. Whilst he was being seen I sat in the waiting and could hear Beth answering calls. She was polite, helpful and seemed to go above and beyond answering questions, and offering advice. From requiring emergency treatment to this point the experience has been professional from start to finish.
The whole team are amazing. Pleasant , make you feel welcome but to the point . Monika the dentist was amazing. Friendly, calm, confident and made me at ease with injections etc. Worked smoothly , keeping me informed and reassuring. Completed in time and cannot praise her and her whole team highly enough.

After an initial good experience in January when I joined this dentist, unfortunately I can’t say the same for my most recent experience. I joined under the “simplicity” scheme which was a happy ground between private and NHS costs as no dentist has NHS space at the moment. I went to my most recent check up expecting this to still be the case and having budgeted accordingly. I walked in and took a seat in the waiting area, the receptionists were chatting and the f-bomb was dropped, which I thought wasn’t professional but assumed they'd forgotten I was there so not a problem. I went for my check, which lasted about 2 minutes, was asked if i wanted this or that done (felt a bit upsell so I said I’d think about those), but I agreed to a clean whilst I was there. 15 minutes total and my appointment was done. I was told I would have to pay £20 deposit for my next appointment (not a problem) so I expected a bill of maybe £100 with that deposit. It was £135. I was shocked so just sort of paid and left. I then later, after thinking about how 15 minutes had cost £115, then emailed asking for a breakdown of costs, which after a couple of back and forths were sent, and I asked why the prices had gone up so much on the simplicity plan. It was only then I was told that plan had been cancelled in August and it was full private costs. No apology was given. I had not been informed of this, and I find it very underhanded that I had to drag this information out of them after the fact. To not tell people, particularly given the current financial climate is very poor customer service.
I cannot recommend this practice and dentist Linda enough. As a very anxious patient, I have been treated with nothing but endless patience and kindness. Linda takes the time to help you feel at ease, to explain everything and answer questions, as well as providing excellent dental care. The practice is also very responsive when contacted for advice and help, and have always managed to fit me in when I’ve needed extra appointments for treatments!
