    Still waiting for my shower screen to be delivered. Wrong shower screen sent out twice already & probably waiting another week for the correct one to be sent out because wickes simply don't care? What if this happens to disabled people where do you expect them to shower? The installation guys were great however nothing looks like our bathroom plan as everything had to be changed due to the designer not measuring or planning correctly. Told we couldn't use tiles as it had to be waterproofed yet its a downstairs bathroom with concrete floor. Complaint sent via email to customer relations.

    I highly encourage anyone looking for a bathroom or kitchen to look elsewhere. We have had an absolutely awful experience with Wickes and, speaking to a number of other people who have also bought a bathroom or kitchen from them, have found that this is not an isolated incident; in fact, of the few people that I know who have bought one have ALL had similar experiences! Initially absolutely nothing was delivered on the agreed date, this causing delays to the installation start, and items eventually were delivered in drips and deans over the installation period but were missing parts and wrong dimensions, and even entire rooks undelivered, because of errors by the designer, and at least a dozen further deliveries to correct the errors over a 2 year period requiring us to take time off work, arrange family members to be at the house or otherwise missing deliveries. Essentially, it took over 2 years for all of our deliveries to be properly completed that is all of the correct materials, of the correct dimensions and correct make/model/colour/finish to be delivered. This cost me thousands of extra pounds in installer costs from the installers starting work, coming back repeatedly, overtime to get work finished etc. and years of having to navigate around boxes in bathrooms, living room, corridors, and garage. Largely Wickes staff did not want to know; there were one or two who did work hard but you could see that this was standard practice and they themselves were tired of having to deal with yet another of the same issues. HQ did not care and have standard practices for dealing with these issues which shows that it is a regular occurrence - they will not discuss compensation until the whole order is complete no matter how long that takes, again demonstrating that this is standard quality of service, and at the end of it the compensation only covered about 1/5th of the extra costs as they work hard to ensure that you only receive the bare minimum of what they are required to pay you in order to meet the industry minimum whilst minimising costs. The trouble put a huge strain on family life and my and my partner's relationship, which is not worth any remotely competitive pricing they might give, and Wickes could - frankly - not give a damn. I would highly, highly discourage anyone and everyone from buying anything remotely complex from Wickes. For little bits and pieces they are fine as they have a good range of DIY goods and can often have things that I struggle to find elsewhere, this goes for all the stores and not just this one, and they have a good refund policy for those but that's about the best positive feedback I can give.

    I would give 0 if I could, couldn’t deliver my plasterboards on time on the right day and could only offer re delivery 2 days later in a 10 hour time slot… which is too late. Had to book time off work to receive delivery. Now have to push back work which pushes back everything. What a joke

    I think the staff in your bridgend store, specifically the bathroom and kitchen design woman needs a lesson in how to treat customers. Asked for prices and help with some bathroom items for my parents only to be met with β€˜if you want prices just go on the website and look yourself’. This isn’t the first time this same person has told us this. dont worry we walked straight back out of the store and across the road to Homebase who were more than happy to help, horrendous customer service from this woman. Even a single price for one item when asked she snapped at us to go and find one of her colleagues to do it.
