   We celebrated our Dads 80th birthday here on Saturday. Thanks to Julie and the team for a great night, the room was decorated lovely and we were able to use their music system play Dads favourite play list. The service was great on the night and the communication when planning the party was incredible. Thank you to you all for making Dads special birthday a great one x

   Just had Lunch. My partner had a pork roast and I had a southern fried chicken burger. Both meals were delicious, one of the best burgers I've had. We both also had red velvet cake sundaes which were fantastic! The staff were brilliant, service was very good. The Pub is also dog friendly.

   Having seen a post on Facebook about Thursday Pie Night (2 Pie meals for £15), and feeling exhausted after a long day, we decided to call in on the way home from work. We were the only people in the dining area so there wasn't much atmosphere, however there was some subtle music playing. In honesty I was grateful for the peace! The young lady serving us was really polite and attentive. The food was much better than we anticipated! Cheesy garlic bread was soft and tasty, and only £2.95! The chips were different than most other places and I would have personally preferred them to be thick cut and cooked in more oil, they were more like baked wedges but still pleasant. The star of the show was the steak and ale pie, which was packed with meat and in a deliciously thick Guinness gravy. £30 for 2 meals, 2 starters and 2 drinks us excellent value and we will definitely be coming back!

   Previously the Birches Head Hotel. Gem of a pub in Stoke on Trent. Newly refurbished. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Decent prices. Deserves to be a success. Well worth a visit.

   I went to a "wake" earlier this week and have to say the food was excellent! Warm crispy, chunky chips, lovely beef and chicken baps, and a good selection of other foods. The pub was warm and staff were friendly.

   They've had a great new interior finish, just need the exterior renovating. Staff are local, and the beer is wet. It's a semi traditional pub and that's it.
