Great place to grab a snack before going to the beach! It’s always clean and has fresh pastries, fruit and veg, meal deals as well as evening meals. They also have cards and alcohol, and the staff here are friendly
Convenient for Brynmill area. Also has a small car park. Offers bakery products and reasonable selection of goods for a small supermarket. Coop membership means you get discounted prices.
The staff are lovely, but that's only when they're actually on the shop floor. It's incredible how a tiny shop can have such an invisible work force - you can be waiting at the till or self checkout (ID check for example) and wait 5+ mins for someone to show up, and that's after checking all the aisles for staff yourself! All a bit silly really.
everytime i walk in here and i could be the only person in the store they put the "dont shoplift we are watching you" annoucement on the speakers. come and make that joke to my face and stop hiding in the back rooms. been going there for a year+ most of the staff are helpful but come and make that joke in person
Absolutely appalling customer service, today. I went to a person as I want to support employment. I'm not one to usually complain ,having worked in retail for years when I was younger. But customer service was non -existent. I've just left the shop feeling like I inconvienced her! The young girl behind the counter was extremely ignorant and rude. I tried making conversation several times, and was blanked. Point blank ignored. Checked for hearing aids in case she had an 'obvious' disability. But nope! Just rude! No bother, I'll take my custom elsewhere. Better yet, I'll use a machine. Definitely would have had more conversation! If you don't like your job, get a new one! Not complicated....
On the surface it may appear a standard Coop, but when you look closer you can see it is, in fact, a standard Coop. You enter though the conventional automatic sliding doors, and are subsequently faced with three aisles of food and other groceries. Say you take the right hand aisle first, you are faced with meal deals on the left and fruit and vegetables to the right. As you travel deeper down the aisle, ready meals and meats appear to you, shielded by the sliding glass doors of the fridges. Take a left hand turn past the juices and clearance items and enter the centre aisle; here you can find such delights as milk, free-from items, crisps, biscuits, sweets, canned goods and bread. The third and final aisle is the most glorious of all; the realm of alcohol. A plethora of wines, beers, ciders and lagers present themselves to you. These may be so enticing that you don't notice the household goods and newspapers behind you. Finally, the self-service checkout is efficient, providing you aren't buying age restricted items. In that case, you begin a side quest of searching for an employee to authorise your purchase; you must leave your precious items and forage in each aisle and potentially even into the stockroom for a fresh employee. Once checkout is complete, you may exit through the same sliding door you entered through. The quest is complete.
Once again store randomly closed with no estimated opening time. This store currently seems to be closed more often than open, so jumping in the car and driving into town to shop instead.
Perfect store for me, an emeritus professor living in Brynmill too! Friendly staff, clear layout and good range of products (especially chilled white wine), but, alas, so far no taramasalata!
