If I could put zero stars I would. I was meant to do this a while back but forgot due to my mental health deteriorating drastically. A clinical psychologist for the post covid clinic suggested me the Rock Clinic for low cost therapy specifically for EMDR. This from what he heard, not from experience. I booked a (way too short) initial consultation that costed me £20 requesting specifically that I was only interested in EMDR and that if anything else was offered to me I wasn't going to book the first appointment. The person I spoke to was a lady who I don't remember the name of. She made me quite uncomfortable through out, was condescending and she spent most of the session reading my application instead of doing it before end. I had to wait ages and chase them for a answer to then hear that they don't offer EMDR and they ripped me of my £20. Absolutely shameful behaviour.

I saw a trainee therapist as part of the low-cost scheme. She was always kind, sympathetic, and a great listener. My only regret is that the number of sessions was limited as I would have liked to keep seeing her, but at least you get a great deal more sessions than the 6 you can have on the NHS.

I booked a session over a month in advance and took time off work. The day before, as I didn't receive my zoom invitation yet, I called the clinic and found out that something went wrong my questionnaire and that they didn't receive it (likely a technical glitch) but they never notified me. I completed it again (over 24hours before my appointment) , but the clinic cancelled my session and kept the money. I find their lack of empathy and people skills quite triggering and decided to seek treatment elsewhere.

I’ve really been enjoying my sessions with Rem and have found them very helpful over the last 6 months. My sessions are in the evening (not within reception hours), but in the instances that I’ve met reception staff, they’ve been very helpful. When I’ve needed alternate session slots, the clinic/my therapist has been very accommodating and understanding - would recommend!

I've used the Rock Clinic twice in the last few years. Each time was a very positive experience. I saw counsellors who I felt safe with and supported. I would highly recommend them.

This isn’t my real name but I didn’t want to publicly post about my therapy experience. This is the first time I’ve tried therapy, and was given a zoom consultation which I had to wait three weeks for, and pay for. On the morning of the zoom, they’d still not sent me an invitation so I had to email 5 minutes before to receive this, as phone lines weren’t connecting. Was then sat there the whole time while it said host is in another meeting. Twenty minutes later I emailed to ask what was going on and they just said I missed my appointment and hadn’t turned up. Even though, I’d been chasing for the link 5 minute before it was due to start? Why did no one email me back to say the therapist was on the link? Because clearly I was sent the wrong one, or they just didn’t bother. Finally got through on the phone to speak to someone and they were incredibly rude and unhelpful. Just the service you want after they’ve made you fill in the huge form, give a timeline of your life, to be told, you missed your appointment. DESPITE being sat on the appointment link the entire time. DO NOT GO HERE.

Awful service and communication. I understand that we are in the midst of a pandemic, but when I was having technical difficulties resulting in my form not reaching them they simply took my money and then didn't give me the therapy session. I had contacted them about this before the session, explaining very politely the technical problems I was experiencing. However after waiting for 2 weeks for a reply they said I won't receive a rescheduled session or a refund. I had waited for the session for a month and planned my week around it. The situation just caused more stress and anxiety when I needed them most. This is a place that's meant to help with mental health issues but just makes these problems worse. It is ironic quite frankly.

I have had a very good experience at this clinic. The admin and assessment process was very good. The really important part of an organisation like this is the quality of the staff. The assessment session I had felt reassuring and I had a really strong feeling that the assessor really understood me. It has been 6 months since I was allocated a therapist and I know feel like I have the therapy I needed. I have been allocated a therapist who I trust and the therapy has been very effective. I think this place has integrity and would definitely recommend it.
