I got booked into the surgery same day and saw Dr Arnold. The receptionist was calm and communicated well. I got seen a bit late but received apology, and Dr was very professional, efficient and helpful. Couldn't have been much better.

Avoid Dr James Simpkin at all costs. Arrogant and dismissive. I was told it's normal to feel dizzy every other time I stand up. Turns out.. it's not (obviously) not. I've changed to a different surgery now and it's amazing having a GP who is competent and kind. This should be the norm. Months under Dr Simpkins and my symptoms only got worse, now I'm actually getting proper medical support and seeing improvements and my general quality of life is so much better. How is this guy allowed to practice?

Yesterday morning my young adult daughter, aged 18, had an appointment at Stanford Medical Centre with a female GP whose name she can't remember. After her thirty-minute-plus wait, she was called in and subsequently treated in an extremely unprofessional manner. The GP was condescending, dismissive, and judgemental in response to my daughter's concerns, symptoms, and questions. My daughter returned to the car in tears and feeling humiliated after being treated so poorly. Medical professionals have a duty of care to extend basic dignity to patients. I would also hope they might think to encourage young people to ask questions and voice concerns so as to encourage a lifetime of good health practices. This GP should be ashamed to treat any patient the way she treated my daughter.

Communication here is absolutely pathetic, completely non existent. Visited here in early June to have an initial consultation regarding having a vasectomy.... was told after the appointment that i would be contacted again within the next 2 weeks to set up an appointment with the surgeon for the next steps... 7 weeks went by, nothing.... so i rang to ask what is going on, only to be told they no longer do vasectomies here.... absolute joke of a place If i could give this place 0 stars... i would

I have been coming here for years and always had a really positive experience. The GPs and nurses have always been exceptionally patient, kind and knowledgeable. The receptionists are generally very friendly and attentive as well. The building is well taken care of and clean with good accessibility.

Rude unhelpful receptionists and disintrested doctors. They have canncelled appointments and not told me before I was in the reception waiting. I was told that I was no longer registered dispite having a letter sent to my house starring the opisite. BAD GP GO ANYWHERE ELSE

When I speak to friends who don’t use this surgery, I realise how lucky I am. It’s so easy to get an appointment with the super friendly reception staff, and both the doctors and nurses have always been great and provided the treatment/care I’ve needed. I don’t understand the negative comments on hear!

Refused to provide me with a letter stating I was fine to return to work following an epileptic seizure. Cost me a weeks work. As an epileptic whose seizures are in part caused by stressful situations this is absolute genius. As a self employed construction worker I don’t know what agency is paying for an occupational health specialist assessment. This is an utter joke. Don’t register here if you are epileptic, they won’t help you.

Don't understand the bad reviews. I've been with Stanford Medical for 14 years and think they are excellent - and I'm very grateful that the nurses and doctors I've seen have been so good at their job. Sarah Meacock has been particularly helpful over the years. Can't fault them really.

I would like to write a positive review of this medical centre. I have been their patient for the last 5 years. My GP is Dr. Ronak Patel who is very professional and friendly. He has so much knowledge and understanding for his patients. He has been very supportive and helpful to me all the time. I have never met such a lovely doctor and I am very grateful for him! I have recommended him to my friends and I would recommend him to anyone who needs a caring GP.
