Went to get some travel vaccines as I left it too late and everywhere else in Brighton was fully booked. I ended up having 2 appointments there. First one very good and no complaints. However in the second one the practitioner mis-administered one of my vaccines, resulting in quite a bad shoulder injury. 7 months later, after many hospital visits and hours of phisio, it is still bad. After contacting the clinic for advice, they got my customer details wrong and replied with a side sheet of side effects for a vaccine that I didn't get (which didn't even include my diagnosis) and simply denied any responsibility and didn't even offer any advice on steps to take. The practitioner was unconfident in administering the vaccine, which should have been a warning sign, but I wasn't aware at the time that such complications could arise. An MRI showed that the administering of the vaccine gave me tendinosis in two rotator cuff tendons. I understand that they cant get it right every time, but this clinic charges significantly more than others in Brighton for some vaccines and apparently hires inexperienced staff, and their response to my asking what they thought I should do about the injury was unprofessional and useless. It turns out getting a vaccine from someone who doesn't do it properly can be very dangerous, so think carefully about who you go to! Lots of information can be found about SIRVA online, so its worth doing your research to find a good clinic. For context I am an athletic 27 year old with with (previously) strong and healthy shoulders!

I went here last minute to get a Yellow Fever vaccination and got an appointment very easily. This was £65 (inclusive of consultation & certificate), which was much cheaper than the Sussex Travel Clinic. This travel clinic is part of the Matlock Pharmacy, which is very clean and the customer service was really good; I felt like I was in really safe hands! Would definitely recommend.
