I’ve had 2 appointments at this small hospital. The first was for an X-Ray and the second an appointment with a nurse who specialised in cardiology. The staff were a bit vacant during my X-Ray, the receptionist was friendly. During my second visit, the nurse I saw was friendly and patient, and explained things in a way I could understand. Other staff I saw were helpful and friendly. There is plenty of space for a wheelchair, pushchair or mobility scooter to get around. All departments appear well signposted. Travel to the polyclinic was easy by the 5A, 16 or 16A buses. The place appeared clean and tidy. No complaints.

The blood test went very well, and the nurse was kind and professional. However, the lady at the reception didn’t seem very willing to help and to explain, which made the visit less pleasant. This level of service doesn’t reflect the otherwise good standards of the clinic.

Thank you so so much for the wonderful help you gave my friend Richard B. His blood pressure skyrocketed and you remained with him till the ambulance came..for 5 hours . He was in hospital till 6pm today . Hes telling me now how lovely you were. THANK YOU

Booking my blood test was quick and easy. Yesterday I arrived 50 minutes early, fully expecting to wait, not at all, I was called in and blood taken within ten minutes of arrival. A lovely nurse explained what she was doing, I did not feel a thing. A great experience, shame the rest of the NHS can't work so efficiently. Thank you.

FREE car parking spread around small self contained parking areas. While signs to parking are prominent the hedges surrounding these small plots make it difficult to spot a vacant space. When successfully parked, no signage directing to the various building on site available. Bus stop serving service 5A and 16 is located by the main Polyclinic entrance. They have electric charging bays (full when I visited). sadly a lack of litter bins. anywhere! The site was clean and tidy but car parks at 1pm on a Wednesday had few spaces left. There is a grass area in front of main entrance which has a couple of picnic tables, in front of entrance only 1 bench. Reception staff are friendly and efficient only a few people waiting, but everything thing went well and x ray service was smooth

Hove Polyclinic sent an appointment to my deceased mother five months after she died. Her GP says this should not happen if the clinic had followed procedures correctly. When I phoned the number, which was the only number, on the appointment letter there was a recorded message saying that enquiries about appointments would not be handled at that number and that I should instead phone the number on the appointment letter, even though I was already calling that number. The Polyclinic has not replied to two emails asking them to make sure they do not offer any more appointments to my late mother.

I wish I could rate this place higher. I’ve been to a lot of hospitals & clinics and Hove Polyclinic blows the rest out of the water. The layout is intuitive and accessible to me. The staff are kind. In all my visits I don’t think I’ve ever had to wait more than 45 minutes - even for an x Ray. The seating is well spaced and every clinician I’ve seen wears a mask- while also making me feel safe and welcome. I’m immensely grateful to this clinic and would recommend it to anyone in the area - especially those with kids, health anxiety, older family, or complex needs. The atmosphere is the calmest I’ve experienced in any medical building. I wish more clinics, hospitals, and surgeries were like this.

A £25 40-mile round trip on trains, taxis and buses was a very brief ultrasound scan. Can't really fault the staff but just had a feeling of being all a bit rushed. I was only in the room five mins when it said on my form 15 minutes to an hour. A good place though. Staff were fairly friendly.

Avoid if possible. The hospital car park uses the despicable One Parking Solution. Motorists displaying a Blue Badge are only allowed 3 hours parking. If the BB clock isn't set and displayed, or if you stay over 3 hours, you will get a £60 fine. All other vehicles are allowed unlimited free parking. This is a breach of the Disability Discrimination Act. The hospital receptionists are unhelpful and dismissive and make you feel unwelcome.

I went for a steroid injection on Monday. Dr Ahmed's team at the Hove Polyclinic were so welcoming, thoughtful and caring. I was blown away by the level of support and kindness. They were thoughtful about everything from what you'd like to be called during your time there, to offering a wide selection of herbal tea post injection. I felt a bit dizzy during after the procedure and they looked after me so well until I felt well enough to go. I've never felt so looked after and wish I could book in again (without the steroids next time)! Oh and the injection has worked so well for my pain too. Thank you so much amazing team.
