Booked 4 seats, 2 of which were completely broken and didn’t have bottoms so had to sit separately and 2 of the seats we sat in had broken arm rests which kept falling off. The ticket machine inside didn’t work at all. Prices are expensive on food and drink and you are no longer able to bring your own food or drinks in, not even drinks for kids. So you are forced to buy something unhealthy for them.

The reel cinema gives you that classic cinema feel. It doesn’t have the best equipment or up to date decor but it’s just fantastic. I hope everyone in port talbot goes here so we can keep it open and have a local cinema!

Awful. Don't bother going here. The entire experience seems designed to be as irritating as possible. They seem to pick their staff members with as little customer service ability as they could find. Go somewhere else. I bought a large popcorn (Sweet) for nearly 6 pounds. Pretty standard price gouging, it's what we all expect going here. What I didn't pay for though was salted popcorn, my son ate some and got a handful of salted popcorn and refused to eat it. I tried a piece and it was sweet, my daughter tried it and also got salted and also refused to eat it. No big deal, I'll go ask to get it changed. I went to the desk and the staff member told me that I was wrong which got my back up immediately. I prompted him to try some and he picked out 2 pieces that were sweet and I picked out 5 in a row that were salted. Instead of offering to change it, he stood there looking at me like i'd lost my mind. So I'm 6 pounds out of pocket over something that probably cost the cinema 10p and would have taken 20 seconds to change to my satisfaction. This was such a shockingly unhelpful interaction that I'm surprised they employ people like this in customer facing roles. The screen and seating were just as bad. The seats are all loose, rattly and dirty. The floors and walkways around the seating are disgusting. The screen was also misaligned. The one thing you pay money for wasn't even straight.

Been coming to this cinema for a fairly long time and it's one of my favourites, tickets are priced at a reasonable Β£6.99 and the four hours free parking is a big bonus. Practically all of the fixtures and fittings inside are from when it was an Apollo cinema, which is actually a great thing for nostalgia since there was never anything wrong with those fixtures and fittings in the first place. Swansea is only 20mins away, and yes it does have an Odeon and a Vue, but you'll also find a very good cinematic experience here too, the only branch of Reel in all of Wales (second nearest is all the way over in Chippenham - Reel, please open more Welsh venues!). Give it a try for a trip to the pictures. And it's right by Aberavon Beach on the seafront too! Hooray!

Went to watch an 8pm new release film, a good clean environment, and a good service on entry with enough staff in the tills. Film, food, and drinks for Β£25. The seating is comfortable for our 90-minute film. Really good date night. Adult tickets were Β£5.50 on the night, and I'm happy to pay that and then buy pizza or popcorn deals while there at that price. New update Oct 24th, 2023 Very good customer service still, the main foyer and toilets were very clean. The cinema rooms need a good dusting on the walls and lights and some arm rests are either loose or completely come off. The cinema is still good. However, it needs some updating.

The cinema was freezing cold, like an old warehouse. And they're charging Β£10 for one of those Β£2 Chicago Town pizzas. Which was undercooked and made me feel really close to puking. The seats were really uncomfortable too, the arm rests were short, only just past the elbow. And the cup holders on the end of the arm rests, had metal ring on the ends, which were sharp to the touch. Very uncomfortable. Oh, and the pick and mix was extremely over priced, but I thought, whatever it's a one off. Then after I'd picked up the empty cup to fill with sweets, there was an awful smell coming from the sweets. I tried to ignore it. But then when I got the the cinema, I found that all the sweets were tried up and hard, like they'd been there for MONTHS, without rotating old stock. I imagined then that there probably isn't any stock rotation on those sweets. I even wondered if they are collecting the sweets from the fall bin, and readding them to the sweet containers. (The fall bin is a collection chute under the sweet bays, that collects any sweets that may have fallen as the customer transfers the sweets from the stock containers t their cup) And the cup is intentionally small, so you can't carry much. I would say for Β£4.80, I collected the equivalent of a Β£1 harribo bag.

We saw avatar 3d movie here. The seats are in good condition. The place is maintained well. I don't think the glasses were up to the mark. We had struggled watching the movie at times.

Promptly told on arrival in a day and age where we are in a cost living crisis that couldn’t take food or drink into the cinema because the tickets were β€œso cheap”. The told that they wouldn’t give my autistic son a straw even though I offered to pay unless I bought a drink. Will never return to a reel cinema again. Odeon or Vue for us next time

Superb value for money at Β£3.50 per adult ticket. Reasonable priced food and drinks. Very clean, comfy seating - not as much room as more modern cinemas but not uncomfortable. Our go to cinema, right on Aberavon beach. Welcoming staff, ample free parking. Update 11.11.22 - prices are now 5.99 but cheaper than standard elsewhere.
