Lovely quiet location, good sized rooms. Basic but clean and tidy. Free carpark near by and buses direct to Brighton.
Comfortable clean room with a view of the sea. Very conveniently situated. Sainsbury's is just across the road with a cash point in clear view. If you haven't brought the car, bus stops are very close by to take you to Brighton or Eastbourne or anywhere in between along the coastal road. The fares are very reasonable. If on a longer stay, a launderette is very close by who do service washes. Only a four minute walk away from the Meridian Monument and the coastline. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. A good convenient place to stay to explore the wider Sussex area away from the maddening crowds of more popular resorts. Good value for the money. The restaurant serves lovely food too. Tastiest hamburger I've had in a long time. The chips were light and crispy with skin still on. All in all a delightful stay.
We didn't use the rooms but reserved a place for 8 of us at Burger & Bird. They were short staffed but did well under the circumstances and were polite, professional and gave a good service overall. The food selection was good and reasonably priced. It was very busy and we didn't have to wait too long for our food. Once it arrived, I had the Sirloin Steak Medium Rare, Chips and the trimmings with a peppercorn sauce. The food was hot amd tasty but the sauce was not really up to par unfortunately. For dessert I had the biscoffee cheesecake and vanilla ice cream. Very tasty! The rest of my group had a mix of burgers and sides and all said they enjoyed their meals. Deserts were a mix of ice creams and pies. All very happy.
Room was on the top floor, double bed decent price. Free parking however the car park is quite small so it's a first come first serve basis. The room was a good size and very comfortable. The toilet very modern. I would definitely go there again. Checking out was very convenient. They had a little pigeon hole where you could drop off your room keys in case you missed then for a check out Hard to find the entrance to the car park on first visit.
Very comfortable and excellent value. Rooms on top floor and no lift, which is clearly explained. Rooms well appointed with nice touches of "get you going" porridge and juice. We were really delighted and will use again. Well done
Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room. 5 minutes walk to the sea, fantastic view. Towels weren’t provided so I can only give them 4 stars. But very nice overall
Recently stayed here for an event in Brighton. Pleasant setting close to the sea. Rooms clean and comfortable. Only downside is stair access if you have disabilities. Rooms are on second floor. Taxi into Brighton around £20.
Very nice place to stay. The room was nice and cosy. The only things missing was a bar of soap or some form of hand wash and more pillows. Big plus for instant porridge! Friendly staff and good food downstairs.
