Generally a stunning hotel with a couple of drawbacks. The heating in my room was not on consistently, which was odd given how cold it is this time of year (December) especially first thing in the morning. With many older guests staying here, the hotel heating policy needs to be addressed. Breakfast is £15, which I found quite expensive. On the plus side, the staff are extremely helpful, the location is excellent, just a stone’s throw from the beach and local amenities, and the rooms and restaurant are decorated and furnished to an extremely high standard.

Stayed for 3 nights and have done between Xmas and new year for the past 4 years at this hotel and always been great up until this year. Rooms are always way too hot even with the radiators turned off and windows open. Normally we get given the air con remote to keep the room cool in the evenings. This time didn't get any sleep way too hot and windows open didn't make a difference other than the noise of the homeless people fighting outside and people shouting all night and on top of that the people in room above banging around!. Asked for air con remote this year and was told we weren't allowed it as they don't allow air con in the winter (first time in 4 times we have stayed here to be told that) young guy behind reception didn't care that we were unable to sleep and just shrugged us off! Anyway long story short we won't be staying here ever again after being loyal customers for last 4 years! Rude young guy behind reception and not being able to use a feature of the hotel that is advertised because the owners want to save a couple of pounds! We had no sleep over the 3 nights here and it ruined our break!

A great hotel, this has been converted from an off-front townhouse. We secured a beautiful king sized room with a large bay window over the green. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. A hearty English and continental breakfast is served. We did not make use of the spa facilities although they looked very comprehensive. The staff were helpful, looked after our luggage after we checked out, and were altogether lovely. Would certainly recommend for a couple on a city break.

Beautiful hotel with exceptional customer service! Me and my husband spent our wedding anniversary at this lovely hotel and they made sure it was a special stay! The room was clean and spacious with all modern amenities but still keeping its own ‘boutique type charm’. They also offered us a free rose petal bed decoration and left us a card. They also had an electric mattress heater which kept us warm. Surprised to see a robot vacuum cleaner in our room! Overall, our stay was very comfortable and we will definitely return back to this lovely hotel.

Didn't use the spa here but it looked lovely. The room decor was really nice. It's clean, comfortable and we could see the sea from our window. Easy walk to the Lanes from here, and some lovely places for breakfast nearby.

Amazing night away at The Charm hotel! Every single member of staff was lovely & welcoming & so friendly! Our room was clean, the bed was super comfy & the bath & shower was luxurious. We stayed in Room No 4. Breakfast was delicious, the dining room was decorated beautifully! I will be staying here every time i visit Brighton from now on! x

Brilliant room, way bigger than expected, lovely shower and toilet, comfy bed and nice TV, loads of space. Nice complimentary teas and coffee bits. Reception was really nice, both when we checked in and out we had super friendly people. The chap on the floor above however, must have been a plumber because he sure was laying pipe. We did book in at sea spray but got transferred to this one, which left me worried, but we definitely got an incredible room at a super cheap price, paid £97 a night

Such a warm welcome on arrival and throughout our two night stay we felt so relaxed. The hotel was clean - very clean room and quality bedding and comfortable bed. Breakfast was amazing - such a spread of fresh fruit, continental and cooked items. The dining room was managed by the friendly and ever smiling staff who were on hand to provide toasted bread and poached eggs as required. We hired the hot tub for an hour on a blustery and wet day, but it didn't affect the special time enjoyed. Highly recommend this lovely place.

We had a really lovely stay at the Charm. It was our wedding anniversary and they set up our room so nicely! The staff were very polite and accomodating and the breakfast was delicious. The only downside was that our room was in the basement (which it does say is a possibility on booking) and the drainpipes that ran next to the room were quite loud. The TV also didn't work and it would be helpful to have a mirror in the room. Overall though the experience was great and we would definitely stay again.

We stayed at the Hotel for the duration of the Love Supreme Festival. The staff were absolutely wonderful and were very helpful at all times. They helped us find charging points for our electric car and took breakfast up to the room for my sister when she wasn’t well. The breakfast room is light and spacious and the breakfast was always well prepared. I tested several different coffees from their coffee machine and enjoyed each one. We were very unhappy with the room we were in and the way the team handled our complaint deserves the extra star I have given them. We were offered a generous size box of chocolates and a note of apology (we don’t eat chocolates, which is why we left them but really appreciate the gesture). On leaving we were asked for feedback and most importantly what would be needed for them to improve their services. I would recommend the hotel without hesitation just make sure you understand the fine print for the room at the top of the hotel.
