After many years of trying to spend some money with Lamberts, I thought today would be my big day. I went in there armed with what I thought was a fairly simple enquiry, I needed a fairly large quantity of M16 Starlock washers and what better place, to be in, or so I thought. As I confidently swung the door open, wallet quivering with excitement, I proceeded straight to the counter. After giving the assistant a brief account of what I was trying to achieve, he returned a grunt. "we dont do nuffin like that". So I specified that I though Starlock washers would work, but before I could even finish my sentence, the "we dont do nuffin like that" grunt was repeated. So that's it Lamberts. You and me are done. Over. Kaput. I've tried, god knows I've tried to keep my business local, but I cannot put myself through it again. Adios.

Just paid £10 for a box of latex gloves. £10 POUNDS FOR A BOX OF LATEX GLOVES !!! No, that's not a good service for anyone, people and companies alike. No wonder that company is falling apart. Won't last much longer acting like that.

The shop has a sign saying one person at a time in the shop , there was four inside when I got there. When I eventually got served I asked for a seslction box of grub screws, the wessel behind the counter said I'll just check. He came back empty handed. But said you sell them individually, so I said I'll have one of each , he said we have loads of sizes , I said again I'll have one of each then , he then said but you'll never get the right size as there are so many ( clearly the fact that I was buying one of each would of solved this ) but he was adamant that this would not solve the problem! Then he said and you need to spend at least £10 . Had he been bothered to do his job and not speak down to me in a condescending fashion I would of brought something else to bring the price up . A very unpleasant little man , when I walked out the other custom gave me a look of disbelief at your employees behaviour. After shopping with you for over 30 years this will be the last time . His arrogance to think that he knew better than me was disgusting, I then searched the back of the van and found one that fitted even though you idiot said it was impossible .
had my order ready waiting when i came to pick it up and even helped me loaded it into the van! huge range of quality tools available on the shelf in store. brilliant experience buying here - will be back. 5 stars from chunk.
