   What an experience! Date: 28/07/2025 Tim: 20:00 - 20:35 This is the first time I have ever reviewed a grocery store, because frankly- the staff deserve it. I was driving through Beccles on the way to Southwold late one evening and stopped by Lidl to pick up some snacks and groceries. Once I entered the shop, I noticed it was spotless and extremely tidy. On the search for English muffins, I had no luck despite checking in the obvious places, and almost the entire store twice-over. Then I asked a male member of staff who was stocking the cold meats at the time, and he said 'Hold on, let me check if we have any round back'- And to my surprise, he brings out what was apparently the last pack of English muffins! From then on, the experience only gets better. Once at checkout, a female member of staff (the only till open at the time if it helps narrow down the name) checked the condition of my eggs as she felt they were leaking a little, but I said it's fine. Then once the oranges came to get scanned, she noticed a few of them were squidgy, and asked another member of staff to replace it. (the same male member who previously helped me). I have never experienced this level of customer care from a supermarket in the decades I've shopped, and It's these moments that make me appreciate how much effort these two members of staff put into their job and really go out of their way- Both truly deserve reward and recognition for this- and maybe even a promotion. I hope Lidl can find out who these members of staff were and compensate them accordingly.

   Use this store regularly as nearest to my home town. Have always found the things that I need and a few I didn't know I needed in the middle aisle. Staff are always helpful and will always get extra tills open as required. On the tills the staff are very friendly and no quibble if a package is damaged they will arrange for it to be replaced at the till. Had one faulty item, which I took back and it was replaced with no hassle and done with a smile. Good customer service thanks

   A great shop, nice staff, great choice and prices. Often there is some sort of sonic alarm going off that feels like a hot knitting needle pushed through the ear canals and I assume some sort of Raccoon or something seems to open and destroy all of the cornflake boxes, but other than that it is pretty good.

   I've yet to find a Lidl that is significantly different from any other. In my experience it is the cheapest supermarket. Do check the use by dates. There are some real bargains especially in the non-food aisles. (They're in the middle.)

   I will be honest I normally shop I Aldi but today we found ourselves in Lidl due to where we were. We only popped in to get something for tonight's dinner but ended up getting the weekly shop. We spent £71 on the weekly shop. We did notice a difference in the two shops but was happy with the overall experience.

   Nice spacious store, spoilt by the bottleneck as we came in, due to pallets of drink far too near the bakery. More thought should have been given to this. Staff pleasant and quick service at the checkouts. Checkouts are long so plenty of room for your goods. Much better than Aldi
