   This happened to be one of the best retailing experiences I have had in recent years. I walked through the door where a young man was working. He was obviously an employee of B & Q therefore as I only wanted one thing and was able to describe it well, I asked the young man where I might find the article in the store. He didn’t hesitate for a second, ushered me into the store and gave me very clear directions. I followed the directions, found what I was looking for, headed for the checkout, did the necessary, back to the car and off. All inside ten minutes. What a great result!

   I'm a regular in this store. Comprehensive stock, well laid out and helpful staff. Prices could be cheaper, but you get what you pay for. At the end of the day, if you want cheap, there's always high street iron mongers...

   For a store of this size, I'm often surprised that they don't have what I need. I went in for an adjustable spanner recently and they only had very small ones. Popped to Screwfix and they had 5 different options for what I needed. Similar thing happened recently with door hinges. What they have is decent but it's disappointing that I can't trust them to have what I need.
