I had a wonderful visit to the Wings Museum near Haywards Heath. The museum showcases an impressive range of original and iconic wartime items, all presented and preserved with great care. You can really feel the history behind each piece, and the displays are both engaging and informative. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, clearly passionate about the museum and happy to share their knowledge. Their enthusiasm truly enhances the experience. Overall, it’s a unique and meaningful place to exploreβ€”definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area or have an interest in history.

This museum is so densely packed with interesting curiosities. The way each display is arranged is incredibly evocative. Highly recommended for anyone with an interest in WW2 history.

I divorced this lovely museum after watching an episode of Four in a Bed on Channel 4 and being on a mission to discover and go to every wartime museum, this was my next stop. What I want to immediately tell people is this little gem is like no other as there is no polish here when it comes to the displays and they come as they are which was a first for me and something I instantly fell in love with. Plane wreckages, bent propellers, rifles found off the coast of Normandy and even parts of the feared V-2 rocket. With them like this they haven’t lost their unique stories and makes this museum stand out as still being able to tell their unique stories while showing them as they came. I would recommend this to anyone who loves history and who want to remember those who Sir Prime Minister Winston Churchill described quote; β€œNever was so much owed by so many to so few”

Amazing place, visited after landing in Gatwick. Everyone is extremely helpful and eager to tell you about the amazing exhibits. Asking questions and touching exhibits is encouraged which was great for the kids. Highly recommend!

Great little museum with lots to see. The volunteers working were very welcoming and knowledgeable. We went on a hot day, so it did get rather hot inside, but there were picnic tables outside, and we could go in and out as we pleased to get fresh air and eat our picnic lunch.

This is a very unusual museum, out of the way and situated on a farm which add to its charm. The exhibition comprises at least 90% crash recovered items so there is very little intact but it is arranged to depict how they were recovered. The emphasis is on the minutiae and detail with background stories explained by friendly and helpful staff. Maybe they could increase the amount of complete items to balance the wreckage but definitely worth a visit. No cafe.

What a wonderful place. So much history and the volunteer are amazing. They spent loads of time explaining things to my son, who was transfixed. Will definitely go back. Thank you for a wonderful day.

The museum is brilliant, myself and my girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed it, found it had loads of very interesting information and stories with each display. The volunteers are very knowledgeable, friendly and most of all passionate. All of this shows in the museum and its collection. I would highly recommend a visit if youre into ww2 history and/or aviation. A big thank you to Bernie in the Radio shack for taking the time to tell us all about the radios in the shack !
