   agree with all the negative reviews. our new kitchen is worse than the 40-year-old one it replaced, poor quality hobs and sinks which are already scratched and damaged beyond what the 40yo ones were! kitchen was horribly planned out so it doesn't flow and is a constant source of irritation to use it because nothing works the way it's supposed to, cupboard doors open the wrong way etc it's incredibly amateurish, you'd never know we'd paid for a professional kitchen company to design it! we've already complained to Howdens once about the damaged kitchen and were told we're just not cleaning it properly (???); by all means please tell us how to magically CLEAN scratches off a brand new hob and sink, which shouldn't be there in the first place! god forbid we put a saucepan on the hob or wash a dish in the sink, apparently you can't do either with Howdens installations, they are only for show, do not touch them! impossible, impractical, unusable kitchen, we're deeply unhappy, but they've got our money now so they're not interested.

   Planner did not listen to what we asked for and so as a result we lost space and did not get what we asked for. It was one annoyance after another and when we raised this one staff member was very rude. Elements of kitchen are poor quality. Would not use Howdens again

   Reasonably price, and of good quality and good warrenties , or so we thought. We bought our kitchen in Oct/Nov 23, and it was fitted just before Christmas. Within 6 months, we noticed that the work top edging was chipping /coming off. We spoke with our kitchen fitters ( who use Howedens regularly) and sent them photos of the damage. They agreed to speak with Howdens. A few days later, We were told we had to buy a new edging strip to be fitted as Howdens said it was wear & tear, and didn't come under their warranty, even though this edging strip was put on at source by them before being delivered, Our fitters reckon it will need a whole new breakfast bar rather than edging strip, as trying to get the rest of the strip off and refit would most probably ruin the whole side and possible chip the top itself. If we had had this kitchen a couple of years, I would have said ok fair enough, but just to be fobbed off like this is not on. Previous to this, we had had a Wicks kitchen for 17 years, and this never happened, In fact, only the handles ever came loose in this time( shld of gone with them). So the upshot is very poor aftersales service, the goods don't seem to be up to standard, and it seems that their warrienties are not worth the paper they are written on. Since writing this review , and go back and forth with calls, etc for a period of time, a manager From Howdens joinery finally came out and agreed with our fitter, that the edging had been put on at source and agreed with the fitter , that if any further damaged acured whilst trying to get the strip of and replacing a new 1, they would replace the whole top. This is all we and our fitter wanted in the 1st place, shame we had to go through all this hassle to get it sorted, but thank you to the manager for sorting.

   I have to leave this review due to all the bother I cause one particular howden employee…. How she doesn’t lose her cool I just don’t know ! In general decent kitchens, company easy to deal with and reliable … but special shout out to Rebeka who’s different class

   All staff at Howdens Bletchley were very polite and helpful. The prices were close match against other giant suppliers. I would recommend and use the services again.

   More expensive than bunnings or magnet trade. Management changed 18 months ago and is awful - deliveries late and orders messed up! Go magnet trade or b&q better value for money! Been with these guys 8 years and disappointed!
