My latest visit for my routine eye test was carried out very professionally. Help with selecting new glasses was no issue and the staff were as always very friendly.
I first went to vision express in Neath a month ago and the staff in the shop were amazing, polite and very helpful. I ordered 2 sets of glasses and they arrived after 5 days. I was disappointed with them as one pair had a twisted arm and as such they didn’t sit right. The second pair fitted fine but the prescription was slightly wrong and gave me a headache so both pairs went back and a fresh eye test was done. That was over 2 weeks ago and I am still waiting for to arrive. Not a great overall experience up to now but I live in hope they will arrive soon and all will be good…
Ive been with this opticians for years so when my daughter needed glasses I also took her there. Had an eye test all was fine, ordered glasses and they came in. Booked an appointment for today 10.15 for glasses to be fitted and when I got there was told that the optician had rang in sick and I had to rearrange. I never remember an optician needing to be there whenever I've picked mine up and now I'm having to take my daughter back tomorrow, no text or phone call. Considering taking my daughter elsewhere, if there's no optician available and everything is on stop because of that then what's the point in being open?
My other eye tests have been amazing. This years routine check up was very good. They normally take your glasses to check your prescription whilst you wait for optician to call you in but they didn’t check them this time when they have the other time. I was only with the optician for 5 minutes. It was a quick read of letters then red or green card better and flickered through 6 lens and was told to choose my glasses. Once I picked my pair they ordered them which great.. but they didn’t check my pupil distance which they’ve always done and my last routine check up they was wrong so I had to go back for them to fix my glasses. Won’t be going on a Sunday again.
Had to pop in after attempting to wipe my only pair failed and snapped them near the lenses. Thankfully the lovely lady who was there was amazing. I believe her name was Angela. Anyway she was able to swap over my lenses into brand new frames. Thankfully the exact ones I needed were available and she was able to sort them pretty quick for me. I did have to spend quite abit that I originally wasn't expecting to spend that day. To be honest though it was worth it as I didn't have to order new glasses and have to wait awhile for them to come back. Angela (I hope I've remembered her name right) was an absolute godsend. Super helpful and polite. Made my visit so much less stressful with her calm and professional nature. So I was able to think calmly about what was the best solution since they were the only pair I had. Honestly any time I go in the staff prove time and time again why I prefer to be with vision express.
The service was great both Kola and then Angela were very pleasant and helpful.
Disappointed with the lack of customer service. My appointment had been cancelled however they said they had attempted to contact, updated with my new contact details. It then dawned on me my appointment was approved with my new number. There was no apology you were an inconvenience. I shall be taking my custom else were. All staff need customer service training and try to understand people have busy lives too.
The staff were great, I had two separate appointments, once which my eyes seemed normal but a 2nd appointment led to me requiring glasses as I noticed my vision deteriorating which showed in further testing. Fair play, the team were really great in helping me from the initial test to then helping me select the right glasses for me, lovely bunch, couldn’t recommend them more
I was unhappy with the optician, and the actual test and left feeling that I my eyes had not been tested as well as they should have been. Very disappointing. Usually I have excellent service.
The staff are extremely friendly, my eye test was thorough and I look forward to collecting my glasses within a week.
