The masseuse and actual Spa (where you get your treatments) staff were amazing. The treatments (Back, Arms/hands, and legs) were amazing and the relaxation room there well set up. only criticism of this part was that under the bed was quite dirty. The changing facilities were clean but the “spa” area was untenable. everything was just so busy! Jacuzzi full, sauna full, steam room full, swimming pool pretty small and cold. Staff of the leisure centre friendly enough, but paying Ten quid for flip flops and robe hire is awful. We were there off a gift voucher so I can’t speak for the value of it otherwise.

Showers are consistently cold. You’d think for almost £60 a month you could get a hot shower. Whole building needs investment and a thorough clean. Cancelling my membership and going back to phoenix, where you can clearly see the reinvestment in the gym equipment and facilities, also- it’s half the price.

As a long term member of Bannatynes, I’m so disappointed in the standards of service & cleanliness over my past few visits. The gym equipment is filthy, with thick layers of dust visible. When I spoke to reception about users not cleaning the equipment, I was told “Yeah, we know, but it’s much worse at Pure Gym” also told if I wanted higher standards to join a private gym, at circa £65 pcm, I thought this was a private gym! The showers in the female & male changing rooms are ice cold, with my partner describing the male changing rooms as disgusting. The spa had also gone downhill. Two days ago I booked & paid full price for my partner to have an hour long massage, only to discover this had been cancelled on arrival this morning, with priority being given to day users. I also tried to book a specialist pamper treatment, but couldn’t as despite being on the price list the staff couldn’t give me any details & apparently had no one trained to perform the treatment! As we both pay a premium annual fee, it is very poor customer service & makes no business sense to prioritise day visitors over members. If things don’t improve rapidly, we will both cancel our subscriptions & go elsewhere. The lack lustre attitude is an embarrassment to the brand. The two stars I have given are for the service & smoothies in the cafe & ease of parking

First time visiting, purchased a package deal on spa seekers website, which was great. We paid £90 for 2 of us, which included 20 min back massages, 2 little bottles of procceso and unlimited use of spa facilities, like sauna, jacuzzi and swimming pool. Changing rooms and showers were in good condition. Swimming pool area more busy, no seperate pool for children so adults are together in one, there's a seperate line across pool, made for better swimmers, if I understand correctly. Only 2 saunas, very busy, hard to get a spot in ordinary sauna, steam one was less used. Also not rules of using towels or providing seat pads in saunas so you don't sit on other people's sweaty spots. Also no limitation of how many people are allowed to go in at once. Cafe area is spacious, food is very cheap, but simple, ran out of eggs and avocados, which was around 12pm, but gave us discount on other food. Overall a nice place, definitely recommend

The treatments in the spa were lovely, staff were great. The gym was good lots of equipment. The building tired needs a refurbishment. You pay to hire very old, discoloured bathrobes, wish I had brought my own.

Lovely spa and facilities, steam room/sauna and pool lovely. Staff on reception were exceptional (a young man didn't get his name). We thoroughly enjoyed our day!

Massage was ok. Not the best I've had but not the worst either. Cold in the massage room but not too uncomfortable. The lady that massaged my partner, managed to get oil all in her hair as well as face cream. The rest of the facilities looked pretty good with gyms and courts. Did make use of the swimming pool(warm), sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Just make sure you take your own gown and flip flops.

Spent the day here on a spa package. The massage was wonderful, excellent therapist that knew exactly what she was doing and trained to a high standard. The relaxation room with heated lounger was lovely and set the tone for the spa facilities. Sauna, Jacuzzi and steam room very relaxing and finished to a high standard. Food in the cafe was reasonably priced and nice. Overall I would definitely recommend a visit.
