Supposed to have vegetables with lamb chops, potatoes and gravy, given a salad to accompany the gravy. When queried I was told every dish comes with a side salad, but I had no vegetables for the salad given to be the side. Please clearly indicate that the vegetables you offer are in fact only a salad. I might have chosen another dish

Went to Blancos for a function (approx 120 people) and had a three course meal. The starters, Prawn cocktail, were huge , beef dinner served hot and lovely profitaroles dessert. Definitely hope to go back next year. Well done Blancos.

I decided to visit Port Talbot with a friend for the afternoon . We came across Blanco’s and thoroughly enjoyed our meal ..We both chose the fish on the menu .. The Place was exceptional with chips , new potatoes, peas and carrots .. I had a double vodka and my friend had a medium glass of wine .. Once finished we retired into the lounge area and had another vodka and a glass of wine .. The atmosphere was lovely.. If I ever revisit Port Talbot I’ll definitely have lunch in Blanco’ again..

24 bar, large restaurant with really great food came out extremely hot. Waitresses were spot on. And rooms are very clean, could do with a bit of a update. But the beds are very comfy. Had a great time stayed for 2 days would definitely go back.

I’m terribly late in posting this, but it’s necessary to share my experience just the same! I had the honour of taking a pilgrimage of sorts to my Mums birthplace- Port Talbot, in May 2024. I stayed at Blanco’s for 5 days & IT WAS FANTASTIC !! Initially I only booked it because it was a five minute walk from where the coach dropped me off,, so it was convenient,,, but I was very pleasantly surprised! My room was lovely - clean & nice and quiet. I thought given how busy this place appeared to always be that my sleep would be interrupted - but it never was! Blanks can really do it all - host Wedding receptions and cater to those travelling who just need peace and quiet !! The buffet breakfast each morning was over the top - it was sooooo much food & it was delicious! Then there’s the staff - they were lovely, polite, professional & gracious. Lastly - I fell in love with the tea in my room,,, Welsh Brew,,, so much so that when I returned to Canada I ordered some & now drink it!

The rooms were spacious but it was quite loud and around 4am some strange noises could be heard from the turned off AC so I didn't get a good night sleep. I would recommend the restaurant either - the burger was subpar same as the breakfast. On the plus side there was a free car park and the staff was friendly.

We had a birthday meal here, the food was fine, but the service was a little off, as hot soup was passed over a baby in a high chair, the food list got lost. Some of the meals were wrong. And we had to ask a few times for service to order deserts and drinks. In all fairness the waitresses were young, but a little more training would have helped.

Took my severely disabled son for dinner with all the family on Christmas Eve. He has to use a stretcher and a breathing machine so it’s very difficult to take him out. The staff were amazing and did everything they could to make our visit as enjoyable as possible. He really enjoyed. Thank you Blancos

Having a 'Christmas dinner' booked, to share with a group of friends at Blanco's, would not have been my 1st choice, but I would have missed a treat. The tables were a bit too close to each other and the access to and fromm the serving tables, didn't appear to have been entirely thought through. There was no easy way back to your seat, while carrying your filled plate. That said, the food was pretty good, however if you are not a lover of sprouts carrots and parsnips, unlucky, that's the only veg on offer, potatoes aside. It was a little surprising that peas were not part of the fayre. Let me be clear, the food was very tasty and plentiful. All the meats were cooked well, tender and no dryness. The bar prices are certainly not cheap, but the choices are many and all kept well. Every single one of the staff are excellent, all of them being pleasant, polite and efficient . The entertainment was a very professional band, who played a variety of covers whilst adding a "blue grass" feel. The highlight being the violinist demonstrating his prowess during 'the Devil went down to Georgia'. A very enjoyable afternoon and evening.

A group of work colleges were going on a night out. I decided to book a room rather than have to travel back to Swansea late at night. I booked a saver’s package which consisted of a double room, dinner in the restaurant and a complimentary bottle of wine. I arrived before check in and staff were welcoming and friendly. Staff allowed me to drop my case off so I could go off to do a spot of shopping before check in. Check in process was easy and straight forwards. The lift was broken and whilst this was not an issue for me it would have been a significant Barry for less able bodied guests or disabled guests. Room was clean and tide, but on closer inspection, noticed a few issues. I point these out only so that the hotel can address them. Moving into the en-suite it was spotless, ample amount of towels supplied as well as complementary shower gel, shampoo, shower caps and sanitary disposal bags. There was a reasonable sized bath with overhead shower. There was also a non slip bath mat provided as well. During my time in the restaurant, I observed that the staff were very attentive to diners and guests. I trust that the Hotel staff are well trained to the standard of the hotel and good at their jobs. NONE of the issues I point out had any bearing or impact on my stay. I do NOT go looking for faults, I don’t wipe my fingers over the tops of doors looking for dust. I’m just an observant person!! * Dust on lamp shade above the bed * Bedside lamp (left hand side) not working * Brownish fluid stain on wall by bed (left hand side) * Damage to plaster on wall * Dust clogged in bathroom extraction vent All issues were in Room 53 on second Floor. In summary * Exultant staff attitude * Outstanding customer service * Knowledgeable staff * Room clean to a high standard * Food well cooked and well presented I would recommend this hotel to people and I will stay here again when the need arises.
