We always look forward Marstons Inn pubs and motels when travelling as you always know the standard rooms and food we will receive - which is outstanding. We find the price always on point and value for money. The one negative feedback I will pass on is the amount of emails sent to us once booked, on average 6 emails for each booking - I find this excessive and your messages get lost as I don’t want to read 6 emails!

You got what you paid for. The walls needed painting, the bit that holds the coat hangers has seen better days and the body wash/hand wash dispensers/toilet paper were nearly empty when I checked in. Other than that, the staff were friendly and the room was tidy. The ceiling on the entrance needs repairing too.

The hotel side of the business needs some work. The rooms are good but the service for cleaning and preparation needs work. We had trouble with towels and bedding on arrival. They did not do the cleaning of the room when requested.

we were just looking for an affordable base near the hospital and for the price it was really quite good. the room was a bit worn and needed some tlc. the towel rail kept falling off. the room needed a compfy chair as only one chair and had to sit or lie on the bed. The bed was ok the room was quiet and we would stay again as the location is exellent for amenities of Llanelli

Booked a room for 2 nights. The room was large and very clean. It is easy to check in and out. Extremely friendly staff. Being next to the pub was excellent for breakfast and meals. A bonus being it had a carvery.

Lovely atmosphere. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. The pub quiz on Tuesday is the best we’ve ever been to, with the whole place buzzing and laughing. There’s a good range of food, it comes quickly and has always been really tasty. We just wish it was closer to our house - we’d be in every night!

Food was fab. However sat our table of 7 with 2 small children in the lounge area to eat, a large sheep dog was inside next to our table on a lead, but barked and smelt of wet dog. I understand its dog friendly, but to place a table of 7 who spent £200 approx next to the dog it's appauling and to add two staff actually let him jump up and continued to fluff him (hair everywhere) and no gloves nothing then walk back to kitchen areas. Disgusting. We've eaten here before always had an enjoyable time, this time was a complete let down and not very good for health and safety. Large dogs, damp fur, barking and customers trying to have a Sunday lunch with children isn't acceptable.

Stopped for breakfast, but wished I just drove on by. Ordered bacon and poached egg on brown toast. Well the egg was snotty and I was told by the waitress that I ordered gulten free bread roll when questioned i ordered toasted. Well this wasn't even an option on the menu, but that order never came out of my mouth. I personally hate the texture of gulten free bread. Then there was the hot chocolate that was like dirty water and not very hot. When complained I was asked have I stirred it. Maybe some customer service training is needed.

We won't ever be coming back here and judging by the lack of customers on a Saturday night, most locals feel the same way. We picked a quiet table away from music and other customers and away from having giant TV screens or flashing gaming machines in view because one of our party has additional needs on the autism spectrum. We were forcibly moved by the "manager" because they wanted to keep the section clear despite the fact that it made absolutely no difference whatsoever to the staff. They would bring food to a table 30cm away but not to ours apparently. The table we were forced to move to was quiet to be fair, but not as quiet or suitable for our needs as the one we chose and within sight of two giant screens and gaming machines with flashing lights. It was quite simply inexcusable to treat us this way and the "manager" is clearly more interested in pushing people around than in customer service. The pub itself was uncomfortably cold and when it arrived the food was barely warm. We sent it back and it was replaced quickly with hot food which was okay but nothing special. The tiled area of floor in front of the bar was greasy and slippy. How long before someone has an accident? Needs a good clean with detergent. I suspect this venue will close down soon. Seems as though people have voted with their feet - we originally tried the Beefeater and it was crammed solid. I'm so not surprised and I don't think it will be missed. Perhaps Marston's need to train their staff in customer service.

A lovely welcome, clear instructions about using the app or ordering at the bar. We had 2 small carverys and the food was excellent. The atmosphere was good. Will be back
