Have been in UK for long time now and seen many beaches but this one is most underrated. Very peaceful, area is too good to be true. Being a small town it gets low tourist but a must to be specially of you are in swansea or port talbot
Home from home. I absolutely love this sea front it is peaceful, clean and features fantastic cafes too. Perfect for leisurely walk and for wellbeing.
A National Trust gem in a hidden valley. We are National Trust Members so it was free to enter but you only pay for parking if you are not a member. Lovely walled garden, nice cafe and it also had a gallery on site. We didn't fully explore the site woodland area but the meadow area was lovely and the kids enjoyed the stepping stones and crossing a log bridge on the stream. We walked down to Amroth Beach from the garden which was a pleasant walk but hilly on the way back. The lady in the visitors centre was extremely helpful when I didn't have a phone signal and needed to make an emergency call.
A great place for a day out. Lovely sandy beach and relatively blue water with places to eat, play and relax along the well developed sea front. Lots to do for kids and a long flat walk along the sea wall as well - with a dedicated cycle lane for those on bikes. Definitely a good day out.
My favourite beach for kitesurfing when the wind is up enough, great little cafe called Memos is always worth a visit too, the owners are lovely people, parking is reasonable here during the summer and the beach is huge so there's plenty of space down there
Aberavon beach is an amazing beach. Its golden sand as far as the eye can see. Also it has lovely coffee shops, café /restaurant along tthe prom. I absolutely love taking my golden retriever down there for a walk/play. It is also I safe haven for my mental health.
The beach was beautiful but the promenade had dog mess all across it. Couldn't enjoy the view because you had to look down all the time. Something needs to be done.
A gorgeous beach. Safe for children. Huge expense of sand. A promenade with cafes offering a good choice. Dogs are welcome all year round but from May to the end of September the beach is virtually cut in half and dogs only allowed on the right-hand side. However still a good expanse to walk. The promenade is excellent for disabled or wheelchair users, and all are welcome in Franco's, a popular cafe - good coffee, excellent fish and chips. Easy access and plenty of parking options.
Great Beach, lots of space to set up your tents/chairs/mats etc, water is far from the sand though so it is a bit of a trek, ideal on a very hot day.
Really nice beach. 5 stars for the UK, but obviously not comparable to what you’d find in Europe or beyond.
