DO NOT GO HERE!!!! This is a school straight from hell. Most if not all the teachers are scruffy, rude, and brainwashed by the “man” that is the principal. Ill start off by saying toilet rules in this school are ridiculous. Being able to go to the toilet is a human right - not a privilege as many of the teachers believe it is here. There has been far too many cases of girls on their periods needing to change their sanitary towels/tampons etc and been denied access to the toilet, leading to distress and leaking. This is just disgusting behaviour from the teachers. 5 minutes of missed lesson time does not mean someone will fail their GCSES. The staff are downright rude to students and parents, continuously talking down to them - especially when having phone calls with parents, treating them as if they are lower than them. Ill save you the decision on deciding to come here - don’t. If you want your child to be depressed for their whole secondary school life then be my guest.

I have no idea whatsoever about Kings Academy other than it’s a school with loads of shouty little brats who twice a day wander past where I’m working nearby . I’d suggest that the teaching staff have little time to instruct their Ill mannered charges as to the expected levels of courtesy. No doubt many of the kids will have dreams of being someone big in IT, perhaps Google might employ them to sort out the accuracy or otherwise of their tracking systems - which are currently pathetically inaccurate .

went to this school and was restrained multiple times over things that could have been fixed with a small conversation, was treated like a child by many teachers due to my autism and was often sent home because of small things. mental health isn't taken seriously and the teachers think they are better because they are older. there are some good teachers such as Mr. Moffat and Miss Budd. was bullied and I was blamed and I was treated like a monster for my disability. only go here if your child is a horrible kid. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

I live in Lewes and a small group of children of varying ages who attend this school wait for the bus at the stop outside my house every morning.Their foul language, and antisocial behaviour is becoming intolerable.I poor example of their education and upbringing.

The uniform rules are absurd if you wear a coat indoors as soon as you've got in, it will be confiscated for the whole day even if its freezing cold. If you have a hoodie even outside the school it will be taken off you. But when there is a fight here all you get is an isolation then you're fine. Terrible school go to priory or Charley if you want a decent school

Although this school is not the best, no schools are. I am getting a decent education and I'm already passing my gcses and I'm only at the start of year 10. The atmosphere of this school is amazing, but the only problem is some children mess around during lessons, clearly we are all still taking in the infomation that we need, but it would be nice not to have to stop every 10 minutes. The teachers are amazing and they all have gone that "extra mile" for lots of people, including me. Like I said I'm passing my gcses, and I stuggle at school as I'm not naturally smart, so they have worked wonders with me, can't wait till next year when I pass my gcses. Considering I live in Hailsham and their is obviously another school in Hailsham, I am always proud to say that I'm from Ringmer, I also left all of my primary school friends behind, but I have made a fresh start and I love all of my new friends. The buses aren't bad at all, we have his prefects that look after the bus and make sure that everyone is behaving, and they are very good at their roles. My school bus is a public bus but we all know the public members and we have very nice convosations with them and the bus driver. Looking back I see this school as something amazing, hope you do to and I'll look foward to meeting your children next year.

My son had his hair braided in the summer due to the heat more than anything, he was told that it wasn't school uniform? but apparently if you belong to an ethnic minority it's ok, this is discrimination, I can't wait till the next parents evening.

Hello, this "message" will be deleted asap once the problem has been solved. This problem has been going on for awhile now, but parents PLEASE check your child's hair! There have been NITS going around the school, and your child could be invested with them! Thank you, and sorry for the trouble. The school refuse to inform parents about this incident, which is bad! Thank you again.
