Visited the Francis Crick Institute for the first time, a very dramatic building, quite impressive. There a space for children to play and read. Cafe available. Went to see the Wellcome Photography Prize. Nearest Tube Station - Euston, Euston Square, King’s Cross St Pancreas.
Definitely highly recommended. The exhibitions here are open to all ages. Very educational for the young ones.
Excellent research facility. Hosts many interesting talks including Professor Brian Cox podcasts on A Question of Science.
I am referring here to my experience exploring the exhibition area of this magnificent scientific research building, on the occasion of the Wellcome Photo Competition, mostly devoted to the human journey into health, environmental conditions & scientific development affecting its wellbeing. This 2025 exhibition delivers beauty and reflection, what a joy!
Great space to visit with kids, their free exhibition ‘hello brain’ is interactive and they have a soft play area out in the cafe with a shelf of books and games for older kids! Recommend if your looking for a welcoming free space
I visited a small free exhibition about cancer in June 2022. It was interesting but very small.
A great place to work. I have fond memories of my colleagues and the building itself. The Crick are working on such good causes. All the best.
Very interesting exhibition, free, especially if you are worried about cancer of any type. I don't pretend to understand it all but the videos of people asking questions was very helpful. It's not a cure but it details the work being done to improve treatment and perhaps being able to personalise for each patient. You can even have cup of tea at the café there.
Stunning building and well worth a visit for fans of modern architecture. The Francis Crick normally hosts events related to recent developments in medicine - seeking to explain the complex in comprehensible terms. But most of this has been interrupted by COVID and like many reviewers my reason for visiting recently was for my two vaccinations. The first one was administered painlessly by someone who worked in communications but had been trained to administer vaccines.
