I was a student for two years, my gcses went from ok to worse in the space of a year. Due to mental health I had to stay at home and they said they have to give my place to someone else who can come into college every day (when their timetable says) I even explained why I was off and why I wasn't showing up and they kicked me out and said to come back next year when I'm feeling "better" worse decision of my life to go here nearly two years and when I took my exams they didnt even organise it properly. And I was kicked out which isnt understanding at all I feel disappointed and angry with the situation as I'm a 17 year old with learning difficulties and I didn't have any other choice because of my grades and I cannot get a job. Overall the main campus could use more lifts for students who are disabled and people who cannot walk up 10 flights of stairs because frankly its exhausting and for people who need more personal adjustments, and none of these students have gotten the support they need (as far as im aware)

My experience was indoctrination, not education. Overcrowded, unmanageable classes. Was told to spend my time assisting students without basic English language skills whilst being denied the opportunity to participate in discussions. More like a vanity project than a college course. Was told by staff that I have learning difficulties and denied any support in getting a diagnosis. Spent the whole year asking for assistance on one particular piece of work and the best response I got, after being refused a 10 minute audience with my tutor on numerous occasions, was that I'm smart enough to work it out on my own. If this is the attitude taken towards competent students, then there is no need for the college to exist. My advice to young people - stick to YouTube university.

I’ve just been to college for an enrolment and I’ve just heard some lady call a mother’s tone abrasive because she said they’ve been sent round in a circle 3 times. Honestly horrendous college and I don’t recommend sending your children to either as both colleges do not support their students whatsoever. I had an experience last year with the receptionist with red hair and she put my name down on the wrong course then proceededed to say “well what do you want me to do about it you can wait for a teacher”

Review in relation to east campus but still under the same college. Would never recommend this college to parents of Sen students. Initially it sounded amazing, and put our minds at ease for such an important transition from high school to college. Quickly the reality became apparent- chronic poor communication, shocking disorganisation which went on for months , the life skills they spoke highly of consisted of walks and one visit to Asda with a budget to spend. The work experience never happened; young people often spoken to in a patronising way in light of their sen needs. The breaking point was my son being physically assaulted in the Sen area by a non Sen student and despite this being a place of safeguarding their cctv was inadequate and not fit to be used for evidence despite it being located in said area. A complaint to the principal got me absolutely no where as dealt with in house. Thankfully the police didn’t give up and we secured a conviction for assault with a hate element, and have obviously switched colleges as soon as we could . Please avoid at all costs

My god what a year. I thought that this college was great but I was wrong. This college is incredibly disorganised (especially on my first day there.) Teachers late. Then for my final project, getting questioned if this is really want to be doing for my project .I would say I have great skill but when I ask for help, I get returned with such a negative and angry response it made me shocked and didn’t want to ask for help from that’s teacher. I am incredibly disappointed as this is my first year here. Other than that, The maths and English classes are quite neat, with a range of different activities. However, while doing my GCSE's I found this experience to be absolutely terrible. Again, disorganised and my name wasn't even the list to take the exam. Absolutely horrible experience that I don't wish all anyone. Also I applied for the exam access arrangements ,as you have to do it yourself, and got absolutely nothing. With the Sen department they said that they will sort it out but they never did. Empty words What a tiring college.

An ok college but I wish their were more organised. I'm in my second year, at the start of it they gave us our timetables. Originally I had tutorial on Thursdays but after the groups were split up tutorial was then on a Wednesday which means my timetable is slightly wrong due to them changing it. I also wish they stick to the same times like it saids on the timetable since its different times every week. Also my friend was originally supposed to be in level 2 but apparently "she doesn't have the right grades" when she does. She was told that she would be doing level 2 but put in level 1. She tried told sort it out with the head of Health and Social but she refused typically.

I tried to enquire about a course here. Rung twice but no one could answer my messages. Sent two emails to different people but never got a response. In the end I got told to enroll in the course that way they can't ignore me....... Well that was months ago and still haven't heard anything so turns out they can!!!!

Filled out an enrolment form and sent it in, went for an interview and felt it was very unprofessional & Only one lift for student use in the whole college. I decided not to attend this college & I now have debt collectors harassing me for a £50 admin fee. I am being threatened with legal action. Had a much nicer experience at East Sussex downs college. AVOID

awfully misleading. yes the art foundation is "free" if you're under 18 but they make you buy £140 worth of equipment you'll use one time and then make you pay for every facility down to the paper. the teachers are equally balanced between clearly lovely but unfit to teach and vile to be around entirely not to mention the campus is cold and unwelcoming

The new extension project is now completed. Students start to return to the school for COVID-19 test before going to the normal school life. Their neighbour, Tucked Away is still here to provide services to the students and teachers. Hopefully, everything will resume to normal after 12th April.
