Pretty dead in terms of atmosphere and custom. Male staff member was polite and served food to the table which was good. Food itself was of basic standard, nothing special at all and very expensive for what it was. They have a captive custom being the only cafe on site, and they know it.

I stopped in for a portion of chips and expected something simple done well. Instead, I was given the leftovers from the fryer basket — barely filling the box, stone cold. When I mentioned it, they just microwaved the same chips and handed them back, now lukewarm and Flaccid. I asked for a fresh portion, but was told the kitchen had stopped serving, something that would have been useful to know before taking my money so I could have gone elsewhere. No refund was offered, just take them or leave them. For the price and the setting, I expected a bit more care and basic customer service. A fresh box of chips isn’t too much to ask. Disappointing, and not somewhere I’ll be recommending.

My second time visiting here, and the first with one of my boys. Very welcoming place for motorcyclists, the cooked breakfast was delicious, coffee was served in a nice big mug, and the atmosphere is very calm. Always seems to be aircraft out on the airfield and being flown, to enjoy as a spectator. Highly recommended.

This is a small cafe that's available at Sywell. Parking is free. The cafe is upstairs with a small amount of inside and outdoor seating, with a view. There are benches outside downstairs, too. There are downstairs toilets. There was a stair lift available. I visited in March, and it was fairly full with not many seats available inside... They do both hot and cold food. There was another restaurant available too, but it doesn't seem there are enough eating places for the number of visitors. We had to queue quite a while for a simple coffee. It was a good place to visit, but I wouldn't want to come back at peak times.

Now this has been a favourite meeting place for good food and enjoying an authentic Art Deco interior. Where else can you wine and dine and see a Historic Spitfire take of with guest flights.

Great location, views and atmosphere but prices are high - even taking the"Package" into account. Pity☹️. To top it all my wife's cream cake was "off". Shame as the "vibe" was great.

I visited here not too long ago with my classmates. It was a very pleasant afternoon. The interior was welcoming, as were the staff. Whilst the outside housed a fountain, a beautiful stretch of runway and several planes, which I took pictures of around the hangar. I definitely recommend checking out Sywell Aerodrome and The Pilots Mess, if you ever intend to visit Sywell. (Alongside its Country Park, of course.)

Stopped here for breakfast and it’s a fantastic place! The furnishings and fittings are top notch and all aviation themed! The wood panelling was beautiful with a stunning officers mess too! The biggest problem was that the chef had disappeared and nobody knew where he was! The couple already seated said he had a phone call then took off and they’d already been waiting 1/2hr. I tried to find a someone but nobody knew where he would be. A delivery was coming in but he wasn’t there either! We waited a 1/2hr ourselves because it’s such a lovely place with great views but still nobody came :( Have saved the location for later so we might call another time if we’re back in the area.
