My daughter absolutely loves her ballet classes, it’s her favourite time of the week! Such a reasonably priced class with the potential to take part in RAD dance exams and an end of year show in a proper theatre!
My son has attended Sjaan’s for just over two years. He has done the baby ballet with parents, the toddler class, and is now in pre-primary. We’ve tried lots of other clubs and this is the only one he’s consistently wanted to go to. He’s also made lots of friends and grown massively in confidence. Sjaan encourages all the children to be who they are and always takes an interest in their favourite things.
My daughter and I are both students at the school and have been for over 5 years now. My daughter started at just 18months old and is now working towards her primary exam with the RAD! Sjaan’s knowledge of not just ballet but how children and adults learn never ceases to amaze me. She is a truly talented and welcoming teacher and has succeeded in making Sjaan dance academy a very inclusive and safe space for all ages to explore and share in her passion - dancing. The school has children at the heart of it and prides itself in keeping the joy of dancing alive above all else.
My daughter has been learning with Sjaan for about 8 years. She lives Sjaans approach to dance and the inclusivity of the school. Although they take the exams seriously they also have a lot of fun.
After moving our daughter here from another studio where she had danced for many years she has become more confident, her skills have come on leaps and bounds and she is clearly much happier. Very friendly and helpful team.
