We had a fabulous afternoon tea, Quite a bit came home in boxes provided by the very amiable staff. A great variety of food provided and they made appropriate substitutions for my wife's allergies. Agree about the comment on the toilet access, but that does not detract from the high standard of food.
Popped in before a football match and ordered 8 teas and coffees. We were told off for not ringing it through first, as it was apparently considered a “large order.” There was no smile or greeting, which made us feel unwelcome. Two of the staff were nice, the young girl serving and a small blonde lady. Unfortunately, the young girls mum was rude, and abrupt, which really let the experience down. On a positive note, the coffee was nice and the apricot crumble was lovely.
Our 1st visit to Mrs B's. Nearly drove past it, glad we stopped as we had a lovely breakfast. Lovely products in the shop too. Thank you
Afternoon tea looked amazing. Lots of home made cakes. Take home what you can't eat. Unfortunately for us it must be booked 48hrs prior. Vegan and gf also available. Cream tea was more than enough for us though. Lovely. Thank you
An amazing afternoon tea! We visited today for my Mum's 60th and were amazed at the detail that goes into the afternoon tea. We could not fault it. It really does have the 'wow factor!' Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
An afternoon tea you will remember for a long time. Sets a high standard for quality and quantity. Served on a mini picnic table, it is daunting, but the individual items are all well thought out and nothing is below par. They also offer a children's tea that had my granddaughters eyes open wide. They will offer you boxes at the end so don't panic.. It's small and you have to book the afternoon tea in advance, but well worth it. Other options looked good and the service was excellent. If there is a slight negative it is that the toilet is up a few steps. But they are shallow and have wide treads. Well worth it.
Turned up 40 minutes before closing time to find they would only do take away cakes, not even drinks. Very disappointed as it looked like a nice place to stop and support a local business
Lovely breakfast had, good quality food and decent portions all freshly cooked. Coffee was a bit underwhelming otherwise would have been 5 stars. The atmosphere was a bit tango for me!
Absolutely love this place. And though I don't have a sweet tooth it is such a pleasure seeing so many amazing cakes. The ladies who work here are totally the best hospitality staff I have ever seen. The food is always great. I want to recommend it persoanlly to everyone and have done. Thank you and we'll be back soon.
Great value for money and delicious. I went with my sisters but will be taking my husband there soon. I had the Club sandwich and the lady did say it was big but I was shocked(in a good way) when it was placed in front of me. Good thing I was hungry. Yum!
