   We had a wonderful experience at The Wavendon Arms. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared – every dish was thoroughly enjoyed. A special thank you to Issy for her excellent service. She was friendly, attentive and made us feel very welcome throughout the meal. We were also really touched by the restaurant’s thoughtful arrangement of a dessert to help us celebrate our anniversary. It was a lovely surprise and made the evening feel extra special. We had a great time and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended!

   We recently held our year-end celebration at The Wavendon Arms and had a really great experience from start to finish. From the initial enquiry through to the day of the event, Luigi extremely responsive, helpful and accommodating, which made the planning process very smooth. On the day itself, we were seated in a lovely area of the restaurant near the open fire, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Guiseppe and his staff were attentive throughout, ensuring everything ran seamlessly, and the food was absolutely delicious and very well received by everyone. There was a small hiccup with the timing of some side dishes, but this was handled quickly and professionally without any fuss, which we really appreciated. Overall, the feedback from my team was very positive and everyone had a fantastic time. I would happily recommend The Wavendon Arms and would certainly return again in the future

   First time having Sunday roasts at the Wavendon Arms. Love the festive interiors and cozy atmosphere that made me feel like it’s Christmas already! Highly recommend the tasty Pan-fried King Prawns with Harissa & lemon butter, rosemary & sea salt focaccia. The Trio of Roasts with beef sirloin, pork belly and chicken, crackling, chestnut & pork stuffing actually can be shared by 3 people as there’s quite a lot of meat and vegetables together and we couldn’t finish all of them. The beef sirloin was disappointing as it was overcooked and bit hard to eat. The pork belly contained more fat than normal but it was ok with me and I love all the fresh vegetables as they were all sweet and perfectly cooked! Roast chicken was standard. As we were too full, we only ordered one Tiramisu with layers of mascarpone, sponge & liqueur coffee with Bourbon vanilla ice-cream. It wasn’t too sweet but smooth and delicious. Staffs were all friendly and helpful. Just a reminder that VAT was added at the end of the bill but not the service charge. You can add on the service charge when you pay by card machine.

   My partner and I visited this gem for a Sunday roast, and we couldn’t have been more impressed. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming. The food was absolutely spot on. We both had the Sunday roast, and it was everything you’d hope for: tender meat, crispy roasties, (bottomless gravy) The portions were generous! But what truly made the experience memorable was our waiter, George. From the moment we sat down, he was friendly, attentive, and incredibly funny, he had us laughing throughout the meal. He’s got a natural charm and charisma that made the service feel personal and genuine. Honestly, George has all the makings of a great entrepreneur, sharp, confident, a real credit to the team!

   We recently visited to celebrate a very special day for our daughter and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We were a large group of 15, including young children, a family member with a disability and a few relatives who don’t speak English fluently — and the staff handled everything with genuine warmth and professionalism. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and taken care of. The team was incredibly attentive, helping us get settled quickly and making sure everyone was comfortable, including setting up space for a wheelchair without any issue. They were patient and kind with the kids and communicated clearly and respectfully with our non-English-speaking relatives. The atmosphere was just right — warm, relaxed, and family-friendly. It’s not always easy to find a place that handles large family groups with such care and attention, but The Wavendon Arms exceeded our expectations. We are so grateful for the role they played in making our daughter’s Holy Communion celebration so memorable. A very special thanks to Luigi, who looked after us with such kindness and professionalism — he truly made us feel at home. Grazie mille!

   I absolutely find comfort, and this place, the sofas and chairs, make me feel at home with service! Normally the couch facing the fireplace does it for me. A glass of wine… the King Oyster Mushrooms! I am vegan/vegetarian so this place has yummy foods that are perfect for me. Thanks you Luigi!

   Last minute booking for Sunday Lunch, first visit and we were pleasantly surprised, Luigi was a great waiter and Francis at the bar made great drinks! Good variety of veg and non-veg with massive portions! Will definitely be visiting again!

   Friendly staff welcoming environment and pleasant decor. Good for eating a meal with friends family or as a date. Food was hot and delicious, chips a bit too salty but all arrived promptly and staff were very attentive. Wide selection of meat and veggie options plus a selection of salads and healthier options. Extensive drinks menu plus soft drinks teas coffees etc. Will return next time we come over this way. Toilets are very clean and accessed via stairs. I believe this pub also does take out food or home delivery.
