After waiting years my daughter did start therapy but her first appointment the therapist argued with my daughter, after she couldn't engage with her therapist. We were told that my daughter would have to go back on the list and wait for another therapist or they would discharge her . They did discharge her and now on another waiting list . Mean while my daughter's mental health is declining

I tried to commit suicide several times before I went to this place. Someone recommended this place to me and I went to get help, but they said unfortunately we can't help you and didn't do anything for me. You are really just a hollow company.

Where do I start with this awful review. They say one thing and do another. They keep you waiting months on end for nothing knowing how your feeling and your current mental state then wonder why you complain. Im really not surprised they have such low star rating. The only reason im giving them a 1 star is because they can answer the phone but even then its a 50/50 chance. They mess up referrals and the way the staff speak to you is rude and unprofessional.

Nearly every time I have called them, they have hung up on me and there is nobody taking accountability for my daughter, who has been on a waiting list since January 2023. The person answering the phone will always say she will ask a member of staff to call you back but this will never happen and in the end, you can tell the NHS is funding a service on which staff are not working because they don't even have time to answer a call or an email. I wish the NHS funding was used to employ a professional team who would actually take ownership and accountability for a patient's treatment, who would actually work with patients to improve their mental health and who would have patients' interests at heart. It would be interesting to know if this service has actually worked with any patients for the last 19 months.

Attempted suicide 2 years ago, got no help in that time whatsoever, got contacted this month with them saying I'm 'too stable' and also THE MANAGER lying about having a psychiatrist on site (they have one and she tried to say they don't). All I was referred for was an assessment for EUPD/BPD and they didn't even give that. Deemed the person suspected to have a disorder that's reknown for emotional instability 'too stable' when I can't work and I hardly ever leave the house. Considering the amount of patients from this service that kill themselves including the 3 published last April alone I can say with confidence they do not care for their patients. There were 8000 suicides from 2020 - 2022 due to this service and I imagine that statistic has increased. I can only imagine how many more people have killed themselves over the nonexistent care they claim to provide.

Let down after let down… fat receptionists ordering Deliveroos instead of telling me my appointment was cancelled, leaving me to sit there waiting!!! Bearing in mind now twice in a row they have done this. Absolutely appalling, avoid at all costs. Quite clearly don’t care and most of the people working there are in the wrong job

Appalling service, never actually do anything or listen and they think that somehow writing on paper will help you feel less depressed and suic**al

Overall I met a lovely psychotherapist. She was polite and she walked me through basic therapy. Ultimately we had communication issues and couldn't make it work, but she referred me to the psychiatrist. After meeting him and speaking to him about my issues and communication needs we pretty much sorted out how to address my therapy going forward. He was very polite and patient. Every single staff member has been wonderful except for one therapist. Clearly there are issues with funding and short-staffing, but that's hardly their fault. I can definitely see how people can have issues with difficulty accessing therapy if traditional CBT didn't work, but definitely keep trying to get through, just don't take your anger out on them. I'd definitely still suggest going private if you have the money and need long-term specialised health care such as DBT or extensive trauma therapy as it would simply be more efficient. If you're looking to work through some shorter-term issues, or know what you need definitely push through this system and get seen as you can be treated, or at the very least identify issues to work on further. Anyway end of rant, but thank you to the staff here for the flexible help. They do a very good job despite constraints and are trying to adapt to what people need. The biggest issue is they are forced to put you in to a little box. If you cannot get what help you need within 7 sessions (for example) then they don't know what to do with you as you don't fit in to their given timeframe and can't help you. This is a massive oversight and leaves a lot of people without access to care. Even if they desperately need it. This is something that is less the fault of this clinic and more due to the chronic underfunding of mental health within the NHS by the government.

definitely the worst mental health service i've ever been to. imagine being on the waiting list for two years for a therapist then being discharged with no help to go anywhere else. take a long hard look because this service is the definition of conservative cuts in the NHS. there is no mental health support in norfolk.. im afraid, whoever is reading this.. trust me i've tried everywhere. i feel sorry for everyone in this county if you're mentally ill and young you might have to move to another county to get any help. or be on the waiting list for years and years for a service that doesn't actually exist. shocked and deeply disappointed and left with no help unbelievably awful, something needs to change drastically with norfolk mental health help

I’ve been with 80st Stephens for about 7-8 years now and honestly I’ve only gotten worse. I am currently being held in a 136 suite after begging my care co and psychologist for months to be put back as an informal inpatient as I don’t feel I’m able to keep myself safe at all out in the community but yet again was ignored. I’ve seen staff come and go over the years and have probably seen over 20 different people, all of which have paid no attention to me other than my first ever care co and an OT.
