The whole experience was awful. I arrived early, seen much later than the appointment time and seen by so many staff members, I was unsure of who actually did what. It was noisy and cramped. The Optician was pleasant, but vague. I was finally quoted over £400 for varifocals with a 'free' pair included. Decided to go with one pair at a cost of just over £200. However, after nearly 2 hours, when leaving the shop and feeling so stressed and disappointed with the experience, including the 'hard sell' tactics, I decided to cancel my order and was reluctantly given a refund. My story relates to my encounter in September. But after my brother's more recent experience at the White Lion Street store, I feel compelled to write a review. He paid over £600 for his glasses, where it would appear the 'hard sell' was adopted. He now has glasses that are not fit for purpose. He is a pensioner who hates confrontation and he is now wary of what to do to resolve the situation. For anyone, buying glasses is a considered purchase, especially if on a limited income. And £600 seems extortionate in my brother's circumstances. I am of the opinion Specsavers have a policy of pressurising what they see as vulnerable customers into spending money on unnecessary products by using confusing terms and generally patronising those customers. And this is borne out by my brother's explanation of his experience a few weeks ago. I cannot express how angry I feel with how he has been treated and I will never use or recommend Specsavers to anyone.

Good staff who were attentive and clear. Moving between practitioner's was smooth and very time efficient. Location and parking were ideal and it was great to be supported to look at frames after the appointment. Many thanks to all involved

okay service approx. 15mins later than my appointment time. more concerning was the difficult to understand eye examiner - the person had a strong accent and I difficult to understand. I'm not certain that the person understood my comments as they did not respond (in my opinion) to them in the right way. Overall disappointed and underwhelmed - should a customer get a good experience, I believe so ! By contrast my wife visited (at the same day) and found the optician very good and easy to deal with (different person)

I found the whole experience easy . All the staff were helpful , knowledge , polite and patient. It was the first time I was to have varifocal glasses which I was unsure about . But I got them 2 weeks ago and I am pleasantly surprised with them as I had expected to have problems..I was also offered a free contact less trial but I decided to cancel that for now. Honestly the only complaint I have is that the glasses come in a soft pouch and I would have preferred a hard case as they were expensive and I don't think the pouch offers my glasses much protection. I can't fault any of the staff or their attitude or customer service.

Appalling service, my wife attended an appointment to have a sub conjunctival hemorrhage looked at. After waiting whilst two optom's put their feet up she was told that they could no longer see her. Staff were unable to offer any explanation and were seemingly unbothered by the whole affair. Not the first time we have experienced bad customer service at this franchise. Unsurprisingly we shall not be returning and I would urge others to make the effort to visit one of the practices in the city centre where they actually seem to give a damn.

Took my mother to the Audiology section of Specsavers. She had an appointment, but we were 15 minutes late, due to busy Sunday traffic (probably due to the morning road closures for the "Norwich Run"). My mother was told that she too late for her appointment & asked to reschedule. She asked the receptionist if a home visit could be arranged (as she has mobility issues). But it fell on deaf ears (pun fully intended) & she was told to go through her GP. We left extremely frustrated & angry. Extremely Poor Customer Service. I would not recommend this service. It has even put me off, from using Specsavers in the future.

Very rude service. Unprofessional. We paid extra for a detailed eye check but they failed to find that my mum has a cataract. When I phoned back they said she might have floaters then they blamed us for not to telling them! We are just customers, of course I don’t know what’s wrong. Only one month then we went to other company Vision express told she has cataract need operation. Then I emailed them but they still insisted her eye has no problem in their test. It’s unexplainable that only one month then developed to cataract matures needs quick operation. I remember the man said she is fine just need a pair of glasses ! She is 75 , just few simple questions to asked then it can help elderly. Very bad service. No star ! Negative experience. Today 1/ Aug I went to refund the useless glasses money , the optician very dishonest, he change the file , put a note that to blame on my side again . The optician Dr Massimiliano Stolta , avoid him.

Took my 88 year old Father for his appointment. The staff were so fantastic with him. Everyone we dealt with were helpful and very patient with him. Never once rushed him; the whole experience took over 2 hours but this was due to my Father asking SO many questions! We had quite a laugh with the staff and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you!!
