Had a lovely appointment here , the staff were all friendly especially a guy named Aidan who made me feel comfortable and a lot less anxious as the store was busy today! He was incredibly helpful in choosing my glasses frames as usually I’m quite indecisive but I’m very happy with the service I received today! :))

First of all, I was welcomed in warmly by the ladies at the front desk. I was seen by a lovely gentleman upstairs who talked me through the machine purposes and was very surprised to see a new machine which did the eye test for you (this seemed to be saving lots of time as I was in and out within 40 minutes, spending a maximum of 5 minutes waiting for the next professional to talk to me). I quickly saw the optician who listened to my eye concerns and conducted further tests to ensure I was getting the right care and options for my sight issues. Finally, the store was very clean and everyone spoke to me with kindness.

The specsaver staff were very friendly and helpful. They were very through with the process of eye checkup and every other things included with it. They were very clear and concise with the report of doing the OCT scan. When it comes to buying specs, one of the members helped me in choosing a frame that goes well with my facial structure as well, as my face is wide and its very hard to find a good fit. Overall I loved the entire experience of getting an eye check up along with glasses.

Really disappointed with the lack of customer support. I had an appointment and was only 5 minutes late, I called customer service to let them know and was told it was absolutely fine. When I arrived only 5 minutes later than my appointment time, I was then left in a que for another 5 minutes. Once I got to speak to someone they then mentioned they had moved on with another appointment and my only option was to re book. This is absolutely disgraceful. Normally at appointments all the opticians are late for the customers appointments and majority of the time customers are left waiting beyond 20 minutes. So it was a complete lack of customer support for my appointment to be cancelled because of 5 minutes. Especially when I called and was told it was fine. I will not be re booking with specsavers again. Any potential customer only has to read the Google reviews to see that specsavers customer services have not been performing their best.

Unfortunately, I can't give them 0 stars. They are only interested in selling their glasses. They don't care about your sight at all. This is my complaint sent to Specsavers that they have not responded to, which confirms their lack of professionalism: "I would like to lodge a formal complaint due to the lack of professional care and extremely poor customer service provided by the staff working at your branch located at 9 White Lion Street, Norwich, NR2 1QA. This is with the exception of Optometrist P.D. who was the only professional capable of providing an outstanding professional care. My unpleasant and unfortunate experience began on 12/28/22 when, unfortunately, I trusted you with my vision care, currently undergoing treatment for a rather delicate issue. Despite having communicated to you my current condition and concern for my eyesight and despite the fact that Mr. P.D., apparently, made a correct prescription, when I picked up my glasses and tried them on, I observed that I was not seeing correctly. This was communicated to the person who attended to me who suggested that 'it would take some time to adjust'. At my insistence, he requested support to his manager who, in the same vein, referred to 'a necessary adaptation period'. Neither of these two members of your staff did any professional checking. They both seemed to be in a great hurry and very interested in selling a product rather than taking care of my eyesight. On Thursday, 19/01/23, when it was already dark, I was driving back home and noticed that I couldn't see properly which scared me considerably and for which reason I had to stop. Luckily, I had my old glasses with which, to my surprise, I could see much better. After a horrible week of 'adjustment' in which I had to remove my Specsavers brand new glasses to be able to see the laptop screen or to read and with which I couldn't see properly at long distance either, I decided to make another appointment with Specsavers. Thus, yesterday 21/01/23, I went again to the aforementioned branch where I was attended by another staff member who, after carrying out several checks, determined that 'although the prescription was correct, the lenses had been made with certain wrong measurements. '. Whereupon, and due to my disappointing experience and loss of confidence, I decided to return the glasses. In short, I feel that you were more concerned with selling me glasses and taking my money than taking care of my vision, which seems to me an unfortunate error that you should correct because what for you is mere business for me is my safety, my health, a life of quality and, ultimately, my vision."

If I could give no stars I would. I have been going to Specsavers, WHITE LION STREET, NORWICH for many years with no problems so I continued. My prescription had changed and I needed glasses for close-up work. The new glasses that were prescribed, I could hardly see out of. When I went back into the store and spoke to somebody, they said my eyes needed time to adjust so I persevered. I ended up giving up with them as they were useless and a complete waste of money! It wasn’t until my recent eye test at a different place that I was told the previous prescription was completely wrong and would’ve made things worse for me. I don’t understand how they can get it that wrong. I have since found out this has happened to a few other people I know who have been to WHITE LION STREET, NORWICH. I put in a call to speak to a manager on 31st of January and spoke to Gemelle. As yet (9/2) I still have received no contact from them. I would’ve never given this review had they had the decency to contact me and rectify the situation.

I work for the NHS and simply needed a stamp on my form so I could get my eye test reimbursed, the staff insisted they needed to charge £10 just to stamp my form. Went into a much friendlier opticians nearby with £0 charge for my form and spent over £100 on a lovely new pair of glasses. Terrible business sense from Specsavers, the other opticians laughed at how ridiculous your fee is. Will ensure all my colleagues know not to go here to get ripped off.

Not great from start to finish. Had to have a re test as the optician did not complete the test. Glasses have been awful. Trying to get someone to hear what i'm saying is near impossible. Trainees are not any good if you have an on going problem, you need someone whos been doing the job long enough to know the common problems. Backwards and forwards into the city with petrol and parking prices is not good customer service. Stuck with !50 pair of glasses i cannot wear
