Visited this pub recently with friends and, while the food and overall atmosphere were good, I was really disappointed by how unhelpful the staff were when it came to a very simple request. I asked for a babyccino or just some warm milk for my hungry baby. The server told me they βdidnβt have a button for milk on the system,β and even when I offered to pay under any other drink, I was still refused. There were no nearby places open where I could get warm milk, so this left us in a difficult situation. Itβs surprising and frustrating that a family-friendly pub couldnβt accommodate such a basic request, especially when I was willing to pay for it. Good food, but definitely not a place Iβd rely on if youβre visiting with young children. A bit of common sense and flexibility from the staff would have made a huge difference.

A wonderful traditional English pub with a unique charm! It is located right in front of the picturesque Richmond Green Cricket Field, which creates an amazing atmosphere, especially on a sunny day. It's the perfect place to relax with a pint of beer after a walk. You feel at home. A real gem!

I recently visited a Greene King pub and ordered the rather large crispy chicken sandwich, and I was blown away by how good it was. The chicken was perfectly cooked β crunchy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside β and it came in a generous portion that definitely filled me up. The bun was fresh, the toppings were full of flavour, and everything worked so well together. Itβs the kind of pub classic that feels comforting but still made with care. Paired with the sides, it was a really satisfying meal and great value for the price. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, which made the food taste even better. Iβd happily recommend Greene King to anyone looking for hearty, tasty food in a friendly setting β and Iβll definitely be coming back for that chicken sandwich again!

The food seems to be completely ordinary British food, but the flavors and freshness are at a high level. The chips were perfectly crispy and the meat juicy. Only the bbq sauce was a bit too salty and drink too sweet for the hot day but this is a minor drawback. Large portions and fair prices. The service is okay, the customer does not feel trapped. You can talk freely and relax in this bar. Nice and quiet place, I will definitely come back here.

A pleasant Greene King pub, we only went for a couple of beers and on the Tuesday evening it was reasonably quiet. The food menu looked to be varied and reasonably priced with a number of offers. The pub has a nice outside seating area

Nothing changes in this place. Same people, just different faces. Good to catch up with some of the old crowd and have a drink to say goodbye Bob. Shame about the singer - even the upbeat songs were depressing. Suspect we'll be leaving it another few years before going in there again. A shame really as we spent so much of our 20s in there and it was a great pub back then.

No chicken in the chicken and mushroom pie. Fried onions weren't fried bloomer bread was a white sliced loaf. No chips as per order so had to wait. So we complain and the lady behind the bar went to find assistant manager. Recommendation - don't complain he doesn't give two hoots and tried to pass the blame to the bar lady also blamed Greene King for not providing stuff. FYI The Cricketers Lidle bake fresh bread daily it's a 2 minute drive
