Booked to watch QCBA, who turned out to be a great Jazz quartet. We were impressed with the venue (CU), excellent sound quality, good lighting and plenty of tables to sit at, and views of the stage seem to be good from most positions. Drinks prices at the bar were decent and staff were pleasant and efficient. Keep supporting this little gem!

Swansea jazz club is now based in a nightclub called CU in Mumbles. Jazz nights are usually wednesday or Friday but check the website for more gigs. The club is great with excellent cocktails at amazing prices (two for £10). The music is varied and always brilliant. We love the club and wish it were closer to home.

This isn't really aimed at my demographic! It's a young person's hangout. I played a gig here to an audience of inebriated but amicable folk in their 20's who had a great time. Drinks were expensive and the gents floor was awash...

Excellent performances every time we go, however beer tasted off on our last visit.

Regular jazz venue in Uplands. Your experience will vary with the act, but you get a good view in a small room seating about 50. Bar at back with reasonable prices. About £12 admission, maybe less for members. Not much atmosphere on the night we were in owing to young band, and old audiences.

Swansea Jazzland occupies the St James social club every Wednesday. The drinks are reasonable in this venue however to my knowledge there is no food. The music you experience is usually jazz played by world class musicians who often frequent the likes of Ronnie Scots in London which would cost between 2 to 3 times the price here. The host Dave Cottle has a lot of influence in bringing in great players being one himself. Come down and chill!

This is a little gem of a place like stepping back in time. Fantastic music world class musicians at a cheap price. Tickets are about £10-12 drinks are cheap like workingsmenclub prices. The very loyal clientele are an older group and like to enjoy the music and show the musicians respect by not talking through their act. Which is sadly lost on a lot of younger people these days. They are welcoming and like to see people having a dance. This place needs an influx of younger jazz fans to keep it going or it will not survive and a another Swansea gem will be lost. Don't come if you want to chat to your friends all night. If you want to see fantastic jazz swing and blues acts (I've never seen any less than brilliant there Dave picks some cracking acts) in a cosy club please come along. What's not to like.

If you like jazz as if you're listening on your own in your sitting room then this is the place to go. The music is absolutely fantastic and I'd listen to any jazz band anywhere but here! I have been to many a jazz club globally and never have I been asked to stop talking! I'm sorry 'gran' but this is not the way to encourage people to recommend this venue and enjoy the most beautifully fluid music on earth! Loved the music (5 stars)but not the venue.
