   We stayed at a camping rally at the, Happy Valley holiday park in South Wales. This club had just reopened and was cash only. The staff were lovely and the entertainment for the bank holiday was great.

   Quirky little place. Admittedly I visited off season. Stayed the night as a camper and was desperate for a pint after a long day treking along the beautiful coastline here. It was the night of the world cup semi final between France and Belgium. Anyhoo, very friendly and helpful staff and the locals were charming. They had both Carling and Strongbow on draught, but also Carling and Strongbow available in cans in the sub bar fridge. I noticed that the locals were all drinking the canned stuff and enquired why? The barman explained that there was a quid difference. After that I moved on to the cans. Very enjoyable night, and took 4 pint cans back to my tent. They have cabaret here during the summer season and I'm keen to return one weekend before autumn. Recommended
