Wow. Just wow. The Sunday lunch with a Jamaican twist may be the best Sunday roast I have had in Bedford. Compliments to the chef. The food is fantastic and portion is plenty. I definitely will be back and I’ll be telling my friends too !!!

A lively pub with a fantastic vibe—we had the pleasure of enjoying their first brunch, and honestly, so many people are missing out! The tunes were spot on, the food was incredible (I could go for another round), and the staff were warm and welcoming. I was a bit nervous stepping into a new place, but the moment I walked through the doors, that all disappeared. Thanks for an amazing day!

First visit to The Mulberry pub for their Caribbean Sunday lunch, and it definitely won’t be the last. We arrived at 12pm when lunch was meant to start, but there was a short wait as not everything was ready. That said, the atmosphere more than made up for it—it genuinely reminded me of Sundays at my parents’ house, with the telly on mute and music playing in the background. A proper nostalgic vibe. We ordered the Sunday roast, where you get to choose two meats. The food was beautifully presented and packed full of flavour. My only suggestions would be to consider the spice (pepper) level for the children’s portions—maybe offer a milder version of the jerk chicken—and to provide more dairy-free options without defaulting to ital stew. A nice touch would’ve been some homemade sorrel or ginger drink to round off the meal. Service was a bit slow, likely due to being understaffed, especially with a large birthday party happening alongside regular diners. But despite that, I’ll definitely be back. Great food, great vibes.

Since The Mulberry Bush changed ownership, it has undergone an incredible transformation! You can immediately feel that the new management has put their heart and soul into the place. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of life – perfect for an evening out with friends or a quiet drink. The staff are always smiling, helpful, and truly care about making guests feel comfortable. The pub is clean, well-kept, and the refreshed decor has managed to preserve the traditional, cozy character. The drinks selection is great (the Guinness, in particular, is excellent), and there are plenty of activities like pool, darts, and a big screen for watching sports. The beer garden is another big plus, especially on warmer days. They also host live music nights and karaoke, creating an amazing vibe and bringing people together from across the area. You can really see and feel that The Mulberry Bush has become the heart of the local community. I’m so glad this place ended up in good hands – the changes have made a huge difference for the better. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great pub with a fantastic atmosphere and positive energy!
