   A great place to go it was very accommodating for 18 of us and we had the football screen in front of our table. Food and service was great and we couldn’t have had a better end to the evening. Really enjoyed the roast dinner and would definitely visit again.

   I come to The Trumpet quite regularly and overall really enjoy it. Most of the staff are genuinely lovely — especially the two ladies who usually serve me. They’re always friendly, attentive, and make the experience feel welcoming every time. However, I have to be honest and say that there’s one member of staff who really lets the place down. She comes across as rude and quite ignorant — no smile, no manners, and often rolls her eyes after dropping off drinks to the table, which makes the atmosphere feel awkward. It’s disappointing when the rest of the team are so great. Still, I do enjoy coming here and appreciate the good service I usually receive. Just hoping for a bit more consistency in how customers are treated.

   Went for Christmas meal 21st dec with friends. The food was lovely and hot and my vegan option was very tasty. One of the best Xmas dinners I have had. All the staff were friendly and helpful and lovely atmosphere with the decorations. Will definitely go back next year.

   Went yesterday for Sunday dinner. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the dinner including meat, vegetables and Puddings. What let it down for us was the dark haired young waiter who banged all plates , cutlery on the table, he clearly didn’t want no to be there.

   Works Christmas do was here! Amazing food and amazing atmosphere! Bar staff where all very professional! The absolute best! Would highly reccomend to anyone for any type of large event! Catered to allergies very well, amazing place!

   I'd give more stars if possible! We came today for our Christmas Dinner (first time not cooking myself) and wow is all I have to say. The food was amazing and the staff were incredibly wonderful, upbeat and friendly. By far the best Christmas Day we have had. We will be back next year 100%. Also what fab staff posing for a picture! Thank you!

   Entering the Trumpet at 6.30 pm for a meal, we were greeted by a barrage of sound from in-house TV sound system, which was showing a live football match. Mercifully, tables were available away from the main bar area. It was apparent that generally, the pub was not as pleasant a place to be in than it had been in previous years. The service was cordial however, and the food was adequate and reasonably priced.
