A beautiful hotel, our community group had our Christmas Meal here. We had 5 wheelchair users in the party. The only one BIG NEGATIVE, is that there is no accessible toilet. Some of our party had to leave before their desserts as they were desperate for the toilet, a real let down at a Christmas Meal. The food was amazing, even the vegetarians had stunning dishes. We stayed 2 nights, it would be good to have more than 1 accessible suite in the hotel. My wife is a wheelchair user and didn't have a shower at all. Its so easily done. Reception and all other staff were great, very helpful.

Xmas meal and overnight stay for a large party. Food was lovely, the staff catered for vegan and celiac who all really enjoyed it. The staff were clearly rushed off thier feet but were still a good crack. The oak bar is good, nice selection of drinks at reasonable prices. Hotel room was clean and well appointed. Will return here without a doubt.

Stayed here last week and have stayed a few times. Staff very friendly, can’t do enough to help you. The room was very spacious, clean and nice comfy bed! The food very tasty and reasonably priced too. Will definitely be staying again

We held the NNUH Cardiology Christmas Party at Oaklands on the 13 December for 70 guests. It was fantastic. The room was lovely with different size tables giving it a restaurant feel. The food was great, really tasty and served without any issues. The staff on the night were welcoming, professional and kind. Christmas DJ hit the spot. We would definitely come back.

A 2 night stay with my wife for a weekend away. We had chosen a suite which is located away from the main hotel building. This offers a spacious accomodation comprising a large lounge area with mini fridge, a separate bedroom and a bathroom. This is the second time we had stayed at this particular Hotel in Norwich. The staff are attentive, professional but remain friendly and approacable. Breakfast is good, although I did not dine at the Hotel, booking would be recommended. The Hotel itself is approx 2 miles from Norwich centre so a walkable distance with the train station much closer, with suitcases it would only be a short taxi ride. Oaklands is certainly my preferred Hotel when staying in Norwich

Held staff party here for 75 people. Ran perfectly from start to finish. Food was excellent as were all the staff we encountered. Great venue, location perfect for Norwich based staff too. Thank you fir looking after us all.

First we were put in one of the upper level apartments but the hot water wasn't hot at all so we enquired and we were offered a switch which was nice. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean, the under floor heating was lovely. The security light was very bright outside the bedroom though- bring an eye mask if you come to stay. The breakfast was a little bit of a let down, each meal looked nice enough, but there wasn't much flavour to any of it. Also it was very confusing because there is one set breakfast price included in the room but you're given a menu to order from and not a choice of if you want more than one dish or even more than one cup of coffee. Perhaps it needs to be more clear. The staff were nice and helpful. The towel rail heater thing was very nice, also lots of parking on site too.

Went for a Christmas meal with about 30 ladies from a club I belong to. Food and service really good except having to wait a long time at the bar, although there was a lot of us!! Would definitely go again

We were given a room in what they call the annexe which is a house next to the grounds split up into private rooms with en-suite. It was like staying in student accommodation with a man in one of the neighbouring rooms (not a guest, an ex employee apparently ) making noise several times through the night talking loudly with his friends and coming in and out of front door of the house at all hours banging the door each time he came and went. I complained in the morning to the receptionist and later left a message for the Manager to call me but havent got back to me. Awful stay. Would not recommend. Area lovely so will stay somewhere else on our next visit

We stayed in a suite at the Oaklands and were very happy with the room in general. Nice big size, modern decor, comfy bed, extra pillows BUT and it is a big but, there was no fridge, but space for one, and no microwave. We both felt these simple additions would take the rooms to the next level. Also there was a small issue with the water. In the shower it randomly ran hot, cold, hot etc and when you filled the bath, the water did the same thing and you ended up with a lukewarm bath. As a small aside, the Oaklands does weddings and that's no problem except some of the guests feel it's appropriate to smoke marijuana in the suite halls. If this could be stopped, life would be much nicer for the guests. The staff were all courteous, helpful and attentive and the food was superb, fresh, local and supremely well cooked. Not pricey either. I recommend a comfortable stay here.
