Great local pub. Good selection of real ales. Friendly staff. If you want an old fashioned good atmosphere pub, you will be hard push to beat this in Bedford
Love love love!! What a great pub. We are first timers and came down to the Devvy last week for the 125th anniversary day and what an atmosphere, the place was jumping! All the bar staff and the owners were all dressed in outfits from different decades, it was fab! Very friendly too. Goats in Trees were our favorite, they were electric. We will definitely be back ❤️
Fantastic pub, the place is just quality. I go here every time I'm in bedford just love it, how pubs should be and were in my day. Great Guinness and ales and spot on Staff. Well hadn't been there for a while, Guinness just as good and atmosphere, a cold wet January evening the place was packed and this is what pubs should be like.well just been back 18.3.23 slightly gone down a bit, landlord to be honest bit grumpy but to be fair busy weekend and the Guinness not as good, but still a good boozer just an off night I suppose

Truly excellent local traditional pub - usually no food, but that's fine. Good monthly pub quiz. Great hosts.
Great traditional pub, all the staff are great, nice little beer garden and the variety of drinks is spot on. Nice place to go to after a walk down the river / park, then off to the chippy on Denmark street.
This was my local 40+ years ago, dropped by as I was in the area. Shame the pub games have gone, but still has the friendly local vibe. Done a good job with the beer garden, don't remember there being one. Some good beers on tap.
An absolutely beautiful pub, loads of drinks variety, including great local ales and beers. A very friendly environment, really friendly people and lovely bar staff as well.
