Decent food, lovely atmosphere and great service! There looked to be a fine selection of craft and real ale, and the range on for their cider fest was brilliant. Unfortunately I was driving, or else I would surely have sampled the wares more thoroughly

A pretty average place really. We were sat in a very dark area. At no point was we asked about allergies which affects us a family and in this world should always be at the top of food establishments list. Saying that, the menu is numbered to show what allergens are in food( 1 is gluten, 2 is milk ) so there's some awareness but I didn't feel confident. The waitress was really nice but couldn't answer any questions asking someone else. Some vegan options but the dessert was not nice at all. The roast itself was nice.

Lovely pub with good selection of food and drink. Attended Beer Festival with band and it was very good. A great atmosphere and lots of outside seating as well as inside.

Lovely canal side pub. We moored up outside and came with our dogs. Tried the vegan pasty, chicken and bacon lasagna, ham, egg and chips and the beef burger. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of vegetarian and vegan options! Such cute gardens and a beautiful view of the canal. Thank you!

A great dog friendly pub to visit after a walk along the canal. Serves doggy ice cream and treats. Didn't have the Sunday roast but it must be good as every table was full inside. A good selection of real ales too. What more could you want ?

Visited today, the staff were so lovely and welcoming. Food was lovely, and will definitely recommend a visit. The only thing I would say is if you're visiting on a Sunday, the Sunday roast is only available at 12 o'clock or 3 o'clock sitting and not between so will bear this in mind for our next visit. Thank you

Love this place, went twice within one month, fab staff, venue, food is to die for (Burger - highly recommend- one of the best we have ever had, it was one of those burgers that you just didn't want it to finish as so good!!) Very reasonable prices as well, We spent NYE here too and had a set meal which was great! Will definitely travel back to come and dine here again! Thankyou everyone at the Barley Mow, keep doing what you do :) Adam & David + two little dogs (heidi & moby) xx

Lovely little pub sat by the canal, weβve eaten here a few times now and itβs always lovely. If you sit on the garden you can watch the boats go by and it does have its own mooring point do you can tie up and enjoy a meal and a drink and then stagger back! The pub has a large car park and was mostly empty when we arrived however on weekends this can fill up quickly. The pub is also dog friendly inside and out so your 4 legged friends can join you as well. Itβs a typical old pub lots of nice beams and a warm atmosphere. It serves typical pub food and canβt be faulted on that as itβs really nice! We drove down today and had lovely service from the start. Friendly attentive waitress who kept checking everything was ok, we had mains and dessert and couldnβt fault any of it. Fish and chips were cooked perfectly with a good side portion of peas, and I followed it up with a very nice sticky toffee pudding. Nice pub, great atmosphere and great food.

Good varied menu. Mostly traditional pub food. There is plenty of seating inside, and plenty of seating areas outside. Outside has a large area with views of the canal. There is a car park but it seems to get full fairly quickly, so you may have to park on the road. Easy to get to via road or walkway next to the Grand Union canal. You order and pay at the bar, so remember your table number. Dogs are welcome both inside and outside the pub. Intact this is very dog friendly offering dog ice cream, and dog sausages !! Ask when ordering. Friendly staff. Good selection of real ales and lagers. Food did take 40 minutes to arrive, however we did visit on a sunny Sunday afternoon so it was fairly busy.... hopefully this was just a one off !! I would still visit again despite this. Great for family dinners/lunches as they have large circular tables in the garden that can hold 8 people.
