   I really enjoy visiting The Red Lion, which is a drinks focussed pub, with 5 great real ales and the usual array of keg beers, including Hawkstone. Food is good pub food and, if available, the pies are amazing. Both kids and dogs friendly. In the back room are pub games: skittles, pool and darts. A quiz every Friday and every month various music events, on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday.

   Driving past and saw there was a blues jam session. What a little gem. Great hawkstone lager (&the increasingly rare kronenbourg) and local beers. Beer garden in the sunshine, what is not to like? Can’t comment on the food but we will be back to try.

   Lovely big and cosy pub! The Red Lion in Broughton has such a warm and inviting atmosphere—spacious, yet still packed with character. The food is fantastic and very fairly priced. I was delighted to get a 0.0% Captain Morgan & Coke for just £3.70—excellent value! Dunk is a brilliant host and a real character, making every visit feel special. I’m really looking forward to checking out their Blues Jam Session on a Sunday and hopefully joining in on their Wednesday quiz night too. Already feeling like a regular!

   Great hidden gem, recently renovated, with lovely food and drink and very reasonable prices. Very nice Sunday roasts for just £10 and pints less than a fiver. Very genuinely nice people working here. Will definitely be back :)

   Lovely food, lovely staff, excellent value ! Just come back from a really lovely lunchtime meal at the Red Lion Broughton. All five of us were really well looked after by the staff, thoroughly enjoyed our meals and came away with big smiles. Big thanks to the lady that served us; we will certainly be returning for more of the same !

   Menu has something for everyone. We were a table of eleven, so pre-ordered our food. There was no waiting for the food to be served by a very pleasant waitress, even though she was very busy. The desserts were amazing, large portions and attractively plated up. Enjoyed the experience so much, I went back 6 days later to sample the evening menu, and wasn't disappointed!

   Just back from lunch at the Red Lion at Broughton. What a difference! It’s now clean, welcoming and friendly with a very reasonable menu! There were 10 of us and we all enjoyed our meals. My battered Cod was excellent! Garden peas were good as were the chips. Unfortunately couldn’t eat them all! For dessert I had Honeycomb cheesecake with ice cream which was to die for! Nice lunch with friends and served by a lovely efficient waitress! We’ll definitely be repeating the experience soon!

   The Red Lion is not only open, but has also upgraded the interior, as well as the exterior, at a time when other pub restaurants are marking time. Lovely lunch yesterday and looking forward to a Sunday roast today.

   A friend and I took a 10k ramble with dog, and stopped off for a light lunch at The Red Lion. We donned masks and used the hand gel, and gave our details, then we sat in the garden and drank very nice cappuccinos. Afterwards we went indoors to eat. We both had the jkt potato with prawns which came with a nice chopped side salad and coleslaw. Very tasty. We weren't allowed to go to the bar, strictly table service only. Our bill was brought to us at our table and was VERY reasonable. Have been here lots of times and always good food and good service.
