   I have never experienced such bad customer service or attitude. A to Z taxis quoted me some weeks ago for a future booking of £60 for an 8 seater MPV, a quote of which I accepted. When it comes to the day of our journey, they send me a text early in the morning to say they are sending two taxis but it will be the same price. Except what we later learned, is that the taxis are now working on a meter and are charging almost £60 each taxi. When I emailed to complain and ask for an investigation into this, they told me their booking system provided a quote in error (not my fault) and tried to blame me for the two taxis coming out. Have also told me that they 'cannot afford' to give me a refund of the additional amount we paid outside of the quote. I tried to be reasonable by saying we could negotiate a smaller refund to allow for additional costing for an 8 seater (even though it didn't come out) but am still told that no, they cannot afford to refund me. I am still waiting for a reply to my latest email and the way in which I have been spoken to by one of the staff members is appalling. I am awaiting to speak to the owner/manager but I do not recommend this taxi company at all. Disappointed. Having looked at previous 1 star reviews, it looks like this is similar experience of other passengers.

   AZ taxis have been my go-to cab service in Lewes for a few years. They're typically more reliable than other local companies and the drivers are usually very friendly. However, on my last trip, the driver seemed annoyed that he had to reroute to the actual drop-off point after pulling into the wrong road. I get taxis when my disability prevents me from walking, so being dropped off at the right place is important, even if it is "just over there". I also made an online booking recently, but the taxi didn't arrive the next morning as scheduled and I never heard anything from them. I hope these are isolated incidents because my experience with AZ has previously been good, hence the 3 stars.

   I had a complicated job with lots of different arrival and departure times, and the A-Z team responded quickly and handled everything perfectly. Grrat great communication throughout the day. This is the second time A-Z have helped me out, the first time they came to my rescues with another complicated job with just an hours notice after I was let down by a coach company. I trust them implicitly and will always use them when I need transport in the area now!

   Always use AZ Lewes for our pre-bookings and always on time and a professional service. Often this a Heathrow-Lewes transfer (or return) which can be an anxious time when getting on/off a long-haul to Australia. Has never been a problem and good to be able to book online. Only Lewes based company that does online bookings. Great service.

   I pre-booked a Taxi 48 hours in advanvce. I even discussed my flight time on booking. They didn‘t show up at 5.45am Sunday morning for a Gatwick transfer. No call or information. STEER WELL CLEAR
