Great staff great atmosphere. Some customers rude and violent.

Archaic door staff who need training in unconscious bias; I’ve visited this venue plenty of times before and always found the staff inside to be welcoming and professional, so I was shocked by the treatment I received at the door this weekend - being barred entry solely on look alone. Despite being relatively sober, respectful, and having never caused an issue here — or anywhere else for that matter — I was turned away without explanation. The only response given was the dismissive, vague ‘Not tonight lads’ line, repeated when my friend reasonably asked why. It’s disappointing to see door staff still operating on outdated stereotypes, judging people on appearance alone. Tattoos, alternative clothing, and being tall shouldn’t be grounds for discrimination, especially in 2025, with it being unfairly assumed that I would cause trouble with zero basis in fact. The venue itself has always been a good spot, but unfortunately, your door staff let the place down and clearly need better training in how to assess character, not just appearance. Until that changes, I won’t be returning.

Good pint and lovely air conditioned pub. Outdoor area is nice and cool. Ladies behind the bar were fast and welcoming. Great pub

Definitely one of the better pubs in Bridgend. Right in the heart of town, jukebox on the go, decent beer garden and pints ain't too expensive. Toilet cleaning needs a massive improvement though, absolutely stinks, even midweek.

This is the best karaoke bar in Bridgend. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the facilities are clean and well maintained. The garden at the rear is worth going to, even if you don’t smoke; look for the image of Elvia on the wall.

Nice pint and very reasonable prices as well, the inside is very nice with a very clean cut look and a pool table to, the toilets where amazingly clean and had a lovely smell which is not always the case in so many public houses these days.
