Our waitress, Ava, was warm and funny and looked after us really well. Lovely atmosphere as always but food was very average. The scampi was tiny and I make a much better tartare sauce at home, even Tescos is better. One of us had the Thai curry which they said was hot but flavourless. Lasagne was good and Porchetta ok.

We had booked the Snug at 6pm and needed to leave at 7.45pm, to get to the Stables Theatre. The mains took a long time to arrive. They were delicious but quite small. I thought a desert would take too long to arrive, so ordered a hot chocolate. But that took so long, I had to go tell the bartender we needed to leave. The two serving women were lovely and helpful but run ragged, because the restaurant part was really full with a networking event. I thought it was very unfair to expect one barmaid and one waitress to cover such a large volume of customers. They were clearly working very hard, with an impossible task. The whole thing ended up being very stressful because we had to really rush to get to our performance on time. It’s such a shame, because I wanted to come back with our dog, but now I’m unsure. We paid the same price for our food as the restaurant customers, but think we got inferior service. The snug area table we were allocated was also very dark - could hardly read the menu! Food was delicious, so it’s a shame the experience was not great overall.

Well, the rating says it all. To be fair, we have been a big group, but we preordered out dishes weeks in advance, so the burger and fries I had, were kinda out of heat at the core. Maybe because the service was understaffed and therefore overwhelmed by our group (of 18 people), but it felt very rushed and chaotic to some extent. Some liked their food a lot, so it's probably safe to say, don't come in a too big group, you might have a better experience. My burger and chips weren't bad, still.

Dropped by this pub recently and really enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed — a great place to unwind. The service was friendly and attentive, and everything was well organized. The food was tasty overall, though a bit too creamy for my personal taste, which made it feel a little heavy after a while. Still, it was a pleasant visit, and I’d be happy to come back and try something else next time

I wanted to eat at a pub, somewhere with a traditional pub feel to it. The Swan Inn was a good choice for me and my friend. We decided to sit outside as the weather was nice so we didn't experience much of the atmosphere after all, but it seems a very pleasant place indoors. The food and drink was very good quality if a little expensive, but I don't mind paying more for a good experience, which this was. It was quiet when I went so the service was good, although when eating outside you have to order at the bar. Overall I left feeling happy.

it's been a while since I was here. Went there for family Sunday lunch at 3pm. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere and location, just as I remembered it. Our starters were ok, the beat was the Honey Glazed Pork Belly. I wassnet to keen on my Roast. Meat was very nice and tender, potatoes we're cooked nicely, gravy was very tasty but I have to say the yourkshires were too dark and vegetables were over cooked and looked a bit old. As I have said before, we all have different tastes buds, so you will have to try it out for yourselves

I was taken here today for a surprise Father's Day treat with all of my children and I can say it was a wonderful experience for many reasons. The place is appealing as you approach it with plenty of parking and visible outside seating. We received a beautiful welcome from the team and were very quickly seated and drinks ordered. It is clearly a very well maintained building as the beams in the pub are a lovely colour. For those over 6ft, prepare to duck a lot. Onto the food, which was just amazing. I am normally a big eater but could only manage a main and a dessert. They were great portions and they food was bursting with flavour. It's also not often I've been somewhere who can actually make cornbread to a good standard and serve it as part of a meal. Loved that. The dessert was scrum diddly umptious. Everyone who sat round the table fully enjoyed their meals. We were also able to have a laugh and joke about without feeling like we were being watched or going to get asked to quieten down. I loved the atmosphere, loved that I felt welcome, and loved the food. A very well run place. Thank you for a wonderful day.

Nice pub. Has some tables on the front and a big open space on the back for casual drinks or dinner. The inside restaurant is nicely decorated. They allow dogs in the garden as we saw few locals coming in with theirs. Food was very nice and we were served a very decent portion. We order gnocchi with prawns and pork belly with potatoes. Staff was very friendly. A little expensive, but is worth it. Will come back.
