Great experience! My sister had to replace her 1 year old sofa due to insects, so decided to visit dfs. Upon our visit we was met with a very warm welcome, even though we had 3 very over excited children with us! We looked around and spoke to Matt, who was more than helpful. We explained the size of her front room and looked at each sofa with his guidance. His knowledge of each item was brilliant and so helpful. After looking at a few, and my sister falling in love with one in particular, I decided to go home and measure up correctly the size of the room. Good job I did as the one she loved wouldn’t have fit! Once measuring, we went back to dfs with the kids. Yet again they met us with warm welcomes and hot chocolates! We explained the sofa would be too big so we looked at others. Once we found one, Matt went above and beyond to assist us. Answering every single question we had, and even explaining things more than twice if required! He was great with the kids, really understanding and gentle. We was in dfs for hours, and really enjoyed our visit. We was in there until after close and still felt welcome even though we had over run their day. The lady was also so lovely and ran through everything with us before the order was finalised and placed. One week to the day later and her new sofa has arrived and it fits perfectly! Every single piece of the Trekk sofa we ordered fit! We walked out of the store last week feeling like a weight was lifted, and having 3 small children, she needed to sort something fast! Their express 7 day delivery was spot on, their customer service was spot on and our experience was brilliant. Thanks so much, Sophie & Bethany! (And the 3 rugrats!)

We buy this electric recliner sofa and it work only for one month then stop folding properly. Now every time it stuck and we have to go behind sofa to fix it again and again. Very bad and annoying experience, no support from them at all. Totally waste of money.

I went in a few days ago to purchase a leather sofa. I was met by an extremely negative sales person who has cost the store a sale. "I do need to tell you there's a £129 delivery charge on our sofas", "I do need to tell you it's a 12 week wait for that sofa", "You have to take care of the leather or it will spoil and peel". She was also extremely negative when I said I live in a small flat on the second floor "That sofa is wider than it looks", "We'll need to know the height it has to go up". I'm not sure what about me gave this person the impression that I couldn't afford the sofa and/or the delivery charge or that I wouldn't be willing to wait the delivery time. Did she think I couldn't deal with the upkeep of a leather sofa or does she just think all the leather sofas are poor quality. Pretty sure the sofa is just as wide as it looks and I had already looked up the measurements online to make sure it would fit in my lounge. Those of us that live in flats do actually have furniture, delivery people are used to and capable of delivering above ground floor and would have been tipped accordingly. Appalling customer service and I'm not surprised to read other poor reviews for this store. I'd have given zero stars if it had been possible.

If I could give DFS zero stars, I would. My experience with them has been nothing short of shocking—a complete nightmare from start to finish. I placed an order for a sofa and paid an £800 deposit, trusting DFS as a reputable brand. Big mistake. I was told it would arrive within 8 weeks. What followed was 12 weeks of silence. No emails. No calls. No updates. Just me chasing them down like I was the one who owed them something. Eventually, after being consistently ignored and passed from department to department, I was told there was a ‘fabric issue’. At that point, I asked for my money back—and here’s where things got even worse. They tried to refuse my refund. Yes, after taking £800 of my money and delivering absolutely nothing, they acted like giving it back to me was some kind of inconvenience. It took multiple calls, emails, and a full-on argument just to get what I was rightfully owed. Disgraceful. DFS has no respect for its customers’ time or money. They are happy to take your deposit, string you along with empty promises, and then fight you when you finally give up hope. It honestly felt like I was being scammed. Avoid this company like the plague. Customer service is non-existent, communication is appalling, and their business ethics are in the gutter. Spend your money somewhere that actually respects its customers and delivers on its promises—because DFS certainly doesn’t.

Me and my husband went in today in the hopes of buying a sofa, we had one for many years from DFS and it done us good so thought we would look again to upgrade as ours was now old and tired. But… no one greeted us, we spent fifteen minutes looking, another older couple came in after and were greeted right away. Maybe because we are younger you assume we couldn’t pay??? And due to my husband having a disability maybe too??? We had wanted the ‘TED BAKER’ sofa but decided to take our business elsewhere. Went to Oak furniture land instead, was greeted right away by a lovely customer advisor and ordered our new sofa with ease. Would not recommend DFS, staff rude and ignore customers that don’t look the right age. Go elsewhere.

We bought a new sofa here. We was explained our options and came away with exactly the sofa we needed. Highly recommended.

I bought a sofa and recliner and a couple of tables from Eastbourne. The girl.that I dealt with was great. The stuff turned up in September 2022. I was very happy . Then one evening the sun shine on the new coffee table only to find a scratch. I'd had it a couple of days When I had time I popped in to tell them.. . I took a photo sent it in . Heard nothing for nearly 2 months . I went in to store Dec 2022. Same girl that sold it served me . Very lovely again. I said I've nothing . She checked , oh yes we need more pics can't see scratch . I zoomed in on the pic I'd sent . There it was bright as day . She went back in to see her manager . Manager says we need more pics. . I really couldn't be bothered to go through all the rigmarole so I just walked out . The manager or who ever was in charge was shocking . . After sales is appalling.

Apart from the long wait despite us informing a member of staff that we were wanting to purchase! It wasn't until we again approached the sales officeb that we were then attended to! Jason turned the situation around and we left with the purchase we wanted. And happy.

Really disappointed with the service provided by the DFS Team at Eastbourne. No one seems to know anything about my order. No one bothered to contact me for an update when that was what I been told would happen. Customer service none. This is not the DFS I knew since 2006 where Customer service was excellent. I think Lord Croft needs to retake DFS Stand up to the Game Guy's
