I thought I would give Halfords another go as I've not had many positive experiences in the past. Booked in for wheel alignment, very good availability for appointments online, this is probably the only positive. Turned up to my appointment but I was greeted by a lady on the front desk who had her friends sitting chatting to her, she finished her conversation before acknowledging me. I may be old fashioned but it's not very professional to have friends at your place of work, taking up the customers seat and chatting away whilst at work. Her friends didn't move out of the way for other customers when they were dealing with the lady behind the desk. It's just not a professional vibe. Unfortunately my wheel alignment could not be completed as the track rod had seized to the end. I was quoted 180 for just one section of the repair, the other was not stocked. I am glad I went elsewhere to get the repair, ended up costing 180 for both parts and the work carried out on my drive. Having looked at eurocarparts, 180 for the rod or rod end is absolutely extortionate! Will not be re-visiting Halfords in the future.

If I could give no stars I would!! Avoid this garage!! Took my car in for a full service came out with a bill of over Β£1000 absolutely disgraceful!! Unnecessary work done even though the manager said she explained everything to me. No she never tyres changed that still had 38% life on them 4mm so did not need to be changed but she never told me this or even asked what tyres I would like. When I questioned her on this was told I should have asked sorry but who is the garage. Recommend joining the motor club to receive 5% off conveniently this didnβt work was told the refund would go to Klarna this didnβt happen contacted Klarna they received nothing from Halfords to authorise a refund total joke!!! Tyre warranty added wasnβt told or explained what was covered.Lots of unnecessary items added which are not needed bearing in mind car had full service and MOT 22/5/25 NO ADVISORS. Disgusting company would not recommend at all. Take your car to a trustworthy garage that wonβt rip you off HALFORDS is NOT HONEST !!!! SCAMMERS just wish I had read reviews. PLEASE READ REVIEWS ON HALFORDS AUTOCENTRES THIS IS HAPPENING SO OFTEN TO PEOPLE!!! I will be contacting motor ombudsman. Update no response from Halfords complaints department even though told I would receive a call within 24-48hrs absolute disgraceful!!!!

I took my car in for an MoT on Friday afternoon. I had previously visited the Halfords store nearby to buy a brake light and have it fitted. The young man who attempted to fit the new brake light blue said he couldn't do it as his screwdriver was the wrong size. He said when I went for the MoT the I just needed to tell the service centre what had happened, they would fit the bulb and the car wouldn't fail. I explained this to Ian and Dionne when I arrived for the MoT. They explained this was not the case but Ian ran outside and fitted the brake light bulb for me just before the MoT. So grateful to both of you. They were friendly and polite and made the experience so positive. Thank you both very much for your help. Will definitely be using you again.

In particular, I would like to thank the manager, Ms. Dionne, for the professional and understanding way in which she treated me. Although I was late for my appointment, she and her team were very patient, supportive and went the extra mile to help resolve the issue with my car. Everything was handled efficiently and with great care, and I truly value the effort they put into making sure the problem was solved. Because of this positive experience, I will definitely continue to bring my car here for all future services and purchases. One of the worst experiences ever. The company vehicle was booked in for brake pads and discs. I was waiting for the vehicle as they had it all day and during my visit I experienced some shocking customer service. Somebody came in and they had put the incorrect mileage on their MOT. They told the customer they would have to sort it themselves with the DVLA, even though it was Halfords error. Calls to customers were rude. The assistant manager didn't care and his lack of attention and disrespect to customers was one of the worst I have ever seen. I was able to watch them working on my vehicle and no care, attention and consideration was taken. They removed the wheel trims and threw them on the floor so now they all are scratched. They managed to get one of the ramps arms stuck under the vehicle, so three chaps were pulling and pushing to get it free, resulting in the vehicle crashing down onto the floor. Absolutely shocking. Whilst they were changing the brakes they damaged a sensor and when I eventually collected the vehicle there were 4 errors showing. They tried to say they were not there when the vehicle came in and nothing to do with them. Eventually they said a new sensor would be delivered tomorrow and would be done first thing. It wasn't. They had it all day and when calling them the manager would hang up the phone. Eventually we spoke to somebody else who admitted they had ordered the incorrect part and a new one would be ordered direct from Ford and would be delivered and fitted within the hour. It wasn't. Further calls were ignored. The next day they said the incorrect part was delivered from Ford, when I would expect yet again the wrong part was ordered. Again they said it would be done within the hour. Yet again it wasn't. We chased for an update all day. We were ignored. Overall they had the vehicle for three days, damaged the sensor, tried to fit a cheap replacement to save costs as they damaged it, ordered the new sensor incorrect twice and eventually had to fit the correct part to sort out their damage. Shocking bad temper and rude behaviour by the assistant manager. Really incompetent and uncaring staff. They could have had a fleet of vehicles to maintain, now they won't be getting any further business. If I could leave a zero rating I would.

Dreadful. Called a week ago told to drop car in for a diagnostic test at 9.30am today. Met by a dour faced receptionist no record of my booking no apology just a frustrated give me the keys and I will book it in. I had my grandson with me I asked how long it would take she said its an all day job you will need to go home and I will call you. I just drove 40 minutes to get here no one to help me get home and back again I just had to take the keys and go. Total waste of time no care absolute unbothered attitude of staff. Best avoid this place

Wanted a electric tyre pump had a polite efficient service apart from the lad couldn't find the key for the obvious security area so had to wait for a while. Once found though it was done & dusted. The pump was a Halfords own and is very good.

An hour to change two tyres was a long time especially as I was the first customer so no delays from earlier customers. However good advice that the wrong tyres had been indicated at MOT so changed from replacing front to back.
