   NEVER TAKE THIS TRAVEL INSURANCE!!!! MY FLIGHT WAS CANCELLED IN APRIL 2023. I AM STILL WAITING FOR MY COMPENSATION €500, AFTER FILLING OUT A FORM, SENT ABOUT TWENTY ATTACHMENTS BY EMAIL. NO FEEDBACK I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED BY THIS INSURANCE AND MOREOVER IT IS OFFERED BY BOOKING A DISGRACE; THEY THEMSELVES ARE EXCLUDING THEMSELVES BY MAKING ME UNDERSTAND THAT I MUST CONTACT THEM DIRECTLY AND THAT THEY HAVE NO CONNECTION, A DISGRACE!!

   I bought travel insurance together with British Airways so thought is reliable. I then had a claim, they have been asking me for months for the same documents that they have misplaced and for the last 6 months they stopped replying completely. Go and find your insurance else where...

   These insurers (Europ/Aria/Intana Assistance) who trade under many names are the most dangerous insurance company I and many others have ever come across. You can read all the terrible reviews (if Mr Big hasn't paid to have them all removed yet) about them, in various online sources and insurance review sites. Here is my experience of having travel insurance with them. In 2006 I took out a "bells, whistles and braces" travel insurance policy with this corrupt company. IT ALMOST COST ME MY LIFE AND WAS NOT WORTH THE PAPER IT WAS PRINTED ON! On 24th May 2006 I suffered a massive haemorrhagic stroke in my hotel room in Turkey. There was a doctor (who we called and unrelated to the insurers) with me within 5 minutes and stroke was confirmed, IMMEDIATELY. IT WAS ALL DOWNHILL FROM HERE ONCE THE INSURERS WERE INVOLVED. Despite being in an urgent and life threatening condition and needing IMMEDIATE LIFE SAVING BRAIN SURGERY the insurance company refused to pay for this or anything else needed, including vital tests and damage limitation procedures I needed. All they would agree to pay for was a bed, fluids and pain relief. THEY JUST LEFT ME TO DIE FROM THE BLEED IN THE BRAIN! I had a valid insurance policy and they breached their legal obligation as an insurance provider. Because they would not allow the vital tests, damage limitation procedures and brain surgery needed I went on to suffer two more unnecessary brain haemorrhages from two other brain arteries, brain herniation, complete 3rd nerve palsy and lots more serious complications. EVEN THEN THEY STILL REFUSED TO PAY FOR ANYTHING. Eventually, on the 31st May 2006 they paid for the special aircraft needed and flew me back to the UK, AGAINST TURKISH DOCTORS WISHES AS I WAS IN SUCH A BAD WAY BY THEN. I only survived against all the odds due to luck and my own will to survive. Thanks to this insurance company failing to honour their legaI obligation as an insurance provider, I was left unnecessarily and permanently disabled and living with a death sentence, aged just 36. THE INSURANCE COMPANY HAVE NOT PAID ONE PENNY IN COMPENSATION/DAMAGES. NOR HAVE THEY MET ANY CARE OR OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES I HAVE INCURRED BETWEEN 2006/2015. Further to this, employees of the company along with others have engaged in fraud, corruption and violent thuggery, which includes kidnaps and rape. BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT TO PAY ME WHAT THEY OWE ME. I cannot recommend this insurance company to anyone, for any type of insurance because they are so dangerous and corrupt. They cannot be trusted to insure suit cases, let alone lives!
