Needed something sorting for my MOT so found this garage online. Really easy to deal with and just a smooth journey from calling up to book in to collecting the car, you also get text reminders with all the info which is helpful. They didn’t charge me for the original reason my car went in, only charged for the work that needed doing that they found and I was expecting this issue anyway, another garage could have charged for both checking for the issue and the fixing of it. Honest and reliable - will use them again
This garage got me out of an urgent situation when Hyundai were unable to keep my service and mot appointment, only a week before it was due to run out. Communication from Dave, I believe was the chaps name, was fantastic from the start. Booked me in at short notice, and when my car failed mot, they got the work and retest done promptly that evening/the next day. Very smooth and efficient process all in all.
I really don't like leaving bad reviews. But in this instance, I feel that it is totally justified. A few weeks ago, we booked our car in as it had a coolant leak. We were told that they would investigate to find out the problem and give us a quote. They got back to us saying that rhe coolant leak had caused numerous problems. To rectify caused by the coolant leak, the cost would be £2,800.00! The car was also due for its MOT a few weeks later. So we asked if they would inspect to see if there were any other issues that would cause it to fail the MOT. They said they would inspect and let us know. They told us that the underside of the car had started to rot. There was also other problems they said that would cause it to fail the MOT. The quote to rectify these additional problems was an additional £2000. So in total, we would be looking at a bill of £4,800.00. As you can expect, we were totally floored. However (and this is the best bit), the garage attendant kindly offered to buy the car from us for £800. We decided to take a few days to decide whether to dig really deep and get the Repairs done or take up the garage offer and sell them our car. It was then that our friend suggested we get a second opinion and take it to the garage they used. So that's what we did. The second garage fixed the coolant leak . The price that the second garage charged? £200. That's a saving of £2,400. We asked the second garage to put the Car through the MOT. The car went and passed the MOT with no additional work. Total cost of the MOT was £45.00. This garage said everything would be £4800.00. The second garage did everything with MOT for £245.00. How this garage got it SO WRONG has left us dumb founded. We thought they were being nice when they said they would offer us scrap value for the car. I noticed there was another review on here saying that this garage also told them that the car would cost a lot to get through the MOT, but they took there car somewhere else and had no problems. And like them, we also took our car somewhere else and also had no problems. I'm sure that this garage will say that this is a false review. However, I have paperwork to prove otherwise. Just beware and think again if this garage gives you a very large quote. You could end up saving thousands of pounds like we did
Took my car in to be looked at today and could not have asked for better customer service! Although the repairs were not able to be carried out, they gave great, genuine advice which made me feel so relieved as it was from a trustworthy company! Really appreciate the help today!
