   Really amazing nursery, I couldn't sing Motherhen enough praise. If you are looking for a home away from home for your precious little ones, this is the best place. Our daughter has been attending the nursery for nearly 2 years and she is happy, we are happy. The staff feel like family, very welcoming, kind and professional. There is no request that is too much for them. What mainly sets apart Motherhen from other nurseries is the low staff turn over, my older child attended big nurseries and the staff members were changing so frequently that it was difficult to build any relationships with them. At least half of the staff that were working for Motherhen when we joined almost 2 years are still there. It gives emotional stability to the kids (and the parents) and that is rare to see in other nurseries. Thank you Sammy and the team xxx

   Our son has been attending Mother Hen Nursery for 2 years now and as parents, we are deeply invested in our child's well-being and education. We were new to the area, and having visited Mother Hen it was very clear to see that the nursery exceeded all expectations from the outset. As first time parents making these decisions can be very difficult, however we have complete peace of mind knowing that our child is in good hands. Communication between the nursery and parents is outstanding. Regular updates, newsletters, and parent-child discussions keep us informed about our child's progress and upcoming events. The staff at Mother Hen actively encourage parental involvement, welcoming feedback and ideas to enhance the nursery experience for everyone. Mother Hen Nursery is more than just a childcare facility—it's a second home for our little one where he is cherished, nurtured, and inspired to reach his full potential. We wholeheartedly recommend Mother Hen to any parent seeking a safe, loving, and enriching environment for their child's early years and we will be forever grateful to every member of staff, who have been instrumental in our child’s development.

   The staff at Mother Hen are fantastic, they are fully dedicated to supporting the children in their care. Mother Hen provide regular updates to ensure parents are fully informed. Weekly newsletters are emailed and these detail the educational and fun activities, meal plans and significant events for the week. As well as providing parents with information regarding the daily running of the nursery (e.g. the team, changes, events such as parents stay and play). This is also available on the Learning Journals app. Each day that my daughter is at nursery the Learning Journals app is updated with information regarding my daughters progress, what she did that day, what and how much she ate, her toileting habits and other significant information. As a parent, I can log on to the app so that my daughter’s information is only available to my husband and I. I can also update my daughters personal care plan. My daughter has a dairy allergy and the nursery have always ensured that she receives suitable non-dairy alternatives, and is supervised to ensure that she does not eat food from other children’s plates. I have 100% confidence in the nursery staff’s ability to keep my daughter safe and well cared for. When I need to communicate with the nursery I can easily get hold of the staff by phone or email (of which they respond quickly to). I work for the NHS Ambulance service and as such have to work shifts. The nursery allow me to be flexible with the days that my daughter attends so that I am able to continue my work, I am very grateful for this. Since my daughter started at Mother Hen in November 2022 I have seen the incredible benefits this has had to her learning and development. She regularly comes home and tells me what new things she has done that day. To all the wonderful staff, who my daughter genuinely feels you are like family, thank you again, you are fantastic!

   Our daughter has been going here for nearly 2 years and she absolutely loves it! The staff is amazing, caring, professional and approachable. They stay on top of each child's individual needs and is very flexible in their approach to make sure the children are happy and cared for just like home. Like other reviews states..its really like a big family! Im definitely sending in my second...and all my future kids here! Thank you to the owner Sam, and all the hardworking staff (you know who you are and you are brilliant in what you do). Us (the parents really appreciate what you do!).

   Our daughter absolutely loves going to Mother Hen and I couldn't imagine her going anywhere else! In the six months that she has been there she has developed so much, and everyone says how good she is socially. The team are always available to offer advice and answer questions to help with her development, not just at nursery, but also at home. It's like one big family. I feel so lucky that we have this nursery on our doorstep.

   I’ve been continuously impressed with the efforts and ethos of the staff and management at Mother Hen nursery since my son started at the setting last year. Several factors have created a positive environment where the children can flourish, not least by having very good lines of communication with parents as well as organising activities to create a real sense of community, which the children seem to respond to very well. The stay and play sessions, Christmas fair, festive singalong concert and reading for world book day were some particular highlights where the nursery demonstrated its level of engagement between staff, children and the parent community.
