I find this coffee house to be much nicer than the other conglomerates in the town. Has a cosy autumnal feel with lovely architecture! Coffees and cakes are top notch! Staff are always welcoming and dogs are allowed! Vegan options available too!

Lovely place with character. Good range of cakes and nice coffee. Also they accept cash, which I liked.

With a name like Coffee #1 you’re setting expectations ridiculously high before the customer has even entered the shop. Coffee was good, but not Brian Clough β€œI wouldn't say I am the best coffee in the business. But I am in the top one.” Food was incredibly average and overpriced for what you get. Panino only had one slice of bacon in on, yet somehow cost over Β£5. None of the panini were freshly prepped either, just plonked on display in plastic wrapping, waiting for whoever was hungry enough to pay over a fiver for them. Then, I assume, they were just stuck on a sandwich press until they were that overwhelmingly hot you were unable to taste any other flavour than your own burnt tongue. We had 2 panini and 2 coffees and it came to Β£16. A bit ridiculous really. I remained hungry. Other than that, it’s a cool atmosphere and the cafe has a good aesthetic, mainly appealing to hipsters, university freshers and office plankton β€œworking from home”, as the myriad of charity shop books on the makeshift shelves at the back of the cafe suggested. Overall, really wouldn’t trouble yourself with a visit, but if you’ve got cash to burn and you like minimalist portions, why the hell not?

Quite possibly the only reason to come to Stafford. We had coffee and cake here, always skeptical having coffee anywhere other than our own cafe but this place didn't disappoint. Brill staff, reasonable prices, excellent coffee and cake. Assuming I ever dare to visit Stafford again, I'll be sure to pay another visit! Kudos for being one of very few coffee shops who has dialed in properly!!

Really nice and cosy cafe. The staff is very friendly. Great atmosphere to read a book or to have some work done.

First visit here, found it to be a nice venue. I was disappointed with the lack of hot food options, sausage bap seemed to be all that was on offer However, I was impressed with the cake & muffin selection as they were all so tempting. I liked the dog friendly vibe, but do wish people that can't control their dogs didn't bring them. The seating was odd, as some of the tables seemed to be lower than the seating. For taller folk, this isn't the greatest to promote good posture and allow for comfort. The tables were also uneven and rocked a lot so caused some precarious moments where it seemed cups we're going to hurtle off the table. Overall a nice venue, perhaps a little overpriced in all honesty but is good for a treat.

Fantastic coffee with a huge variety of cakes; seating is not cramped and the staff are very friendly! Enormous variety of smoothies, juices and teas to accompany the standard coffee menu. Price point is just below the competition ie Starbucks and Costa. Will choose to drink here again!
