Have just finally paid a massive fine £170 after three years of fighting it, for parking for just over 5 minutes outside this shop, when trying to buy some sterile dressing for my 84 year old friend after surgery. The shop was closed and I sat there for just over 5 minutes trying to find an alternative. My friend has used this shop for 50 years!! You didn't want to know! You are a disgrace!

I would not recommend this pharmacy. Very rarely seem to have the medication you need and the staff and pretty rude and patronising. I’ve moved to Vauxhall St Pharmacy - 5 mins walk away and light years better.

Excellent professional but friendly chemists, always willing to listen and give advice. Its delivery service for the housebound is a life saver, and the two helpers who staff it are a tonic in themselves..

Been a customer 30 years. Visited on a Sunday for teh first time for medicine, it was closed so walked down to tesco for it. Recieved a £100 parking fine from NPE- can you make out the "clear" terms of no parking even on a sunday in the photo??? . Appeal was declined. Wrote to manager, got no reply and heard no more. Now a "credit solutions " agency TnC is demanding £170- and if I dont pay it goes to court, if i lose i pay court costs and have a judgement on my record. a chain of ripoffs. Understand the owner has had enough and not renewing parking contract...but while the woner "values my support" is somehow unable to "support" loyal custmers being ripped off so that's my last visit after 30 years. A shame an otherwise good service is losing customers due to the NPE/TCN ripoff merchants

Somehow I always end up dealing with the tall guy on the counter with colored hair and not only is he extremely unhelpful, he also does not feel like the right person to be working at a pharmacy. He does not know anything, his responses to genuine but simple queries are harmfully uneducated, and he should not be allowed to interact with patients/consumers of any pharmaceutical products because we are inherently vulnerable. He is a confused individual and he should be trained for this very important job.

I am a regular customer here and will be finding a different chemist from now on. The parking fines outside this place are a joke. If you pull in their car park after they are closed having raced home from work and missed there opening times just to sit there for a few minutes whilst you figure out where else you can go. The company will send you an absolutely outrageous fine! It doesn’t matter who you contact or how you appeal it they will just send you threatening letters.

Competent, knowledgeable and compassionate staff. I had lately visited the Hurn Chemist to get penicillin for my very unwell 9 years old daughter. They were the only people who didn't turn me away but explained that they can offer me alternative antibiotic instead. In the say moment my daughter become very unwell and one of the pharmacist stepped in to assist and help as I was so worried and panicked that my daughter could have become septic. Thank you so much for being professional and caring. Maggie

I've visited Hurns a few times this week. Each time the staff have all been kind efficient and helpful - despite being busy. Prescription medication was available with little waiting. A minor ailment was diagnosed and detailed advice given. Thank-you

This Pharmacy has really gone “down-hill” since it changed hands … It used to be so efficient with friendly polite staff that couldn’t be more helpful … Firstly they removed the convenience of the ATM Machine outside for locals and now, every singer time I’m kept waiting for pre-ordered (online or from my GP) prescriptions! It seems that no one bothers to check their “online” ordering system until the customer visits to say … “I’m here to collect my prescription!” … This system needs to be checked “hourly” and not left until the person is “actually” there to pick it up! Then, having to wait around for 20 minutes while someone puts the prescription in a box then a bag and then sticking on labels etc, etc, etc … Poor Customer Service and it needs addressing!

Great independent chemist that stocks far more medications than a chain chemist. Efficient pharmacists that are extremely helpful and willing to take time if you need specific answers to minor medical problems. The only downside was that the parking is limited and you have to pull in from a busy main road which you then have to reverse out onto. Overall though it still warrants 5* for being a fab, well stocked chemist.
